Edward NortonLooks like we'll see something of an "Avengers" throwdown on the set of "Bourne Legacy."

Edward Norton, who previously played Bruce Banner in Marvel's "Incredible Hulk," is in negotiations to join the Matt Damon-less continuation of the "Bourne" franchise as the film's antagonist. He'll star opposite leading man Jeremy Renner, cast as Hawkeye in "Avengers," giving the two actors a chance to slug it out on the big-screen, as they won't have that opportunity in Marvel's superhero team-up movie; Norton was famously booted from the Hulk role, with Mark Ruffalo coming in to take his place.

Get the rest of today's casting news past the jump, including new additions to "Rock of Ages" and a brand new passion project from "Bridesmaids" star Kristen Wiig!

There's nothing Will Arnett or Jason Bateman could do that we here at MTV Movies Blog wouldn't be interested in, even if it's just commercials.

And that's exactly what their venture Dumb Dumb is doing: reshaping our ideas of commercials with the help of College Humor. Dumb Dumb launched in July 2010 with the short film "Prom Date" in promotion of Orbit, and now the duo is at it again with "Always Open!," a new talk show nestled in the comforting confines of your local Denny's.

Surely there hasn't been a better venue for an online video show since Zach Galifianakis set up shop between two ferns, and host David Koechner is making use of the way America's favorite breakfast joint brings out the best in people for Dumb Dumb's newest show. The first episode premiered yesterday with Bateman as its guest.

Beaver BoysTim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have taken over the small screen in their own unique, terrifying way in "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!," and now they're ready to turn that into a movie. A billion-dollar movie, to be exact.

According to The Wrap, Heidecker and Wareheim have teamed up with production companies Funny or Die, Gary Sanchez Productions and their own Abso Lutely Productions to create "Tim And Eric's Billion Dollar Movie," which starts principle photography on Friday. Even if you haven't heard of the two title leads, you probably have heard of their film's guest stars: Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte, Robert Loggia and William Atherton.

All of them except for the latter two have appeared on the show before, and there is nothing we would love more than for them to return to the film as our favorite of their "Tim and Eric" characters. After the jump we give you a quick refresher on everyone from Steve Brule to The Snuggler.

It's been a decade since the last "Saturday Night Live" spin-off movie, the Tim Meadows-starring "The Ladies Man" (which is actually a lot better than people give it credit for). It's a shorter gap than there was between "The Blues Brothers" and "Wayne's World" -- 12 years there -- but still a significant amount of time. The break worked out way back when, and if early reports from South By Southwest are accurate, it will be equally beneficial for "MacGruber," the latest "SNL" spin-off.

"MacGruber" is a spoof of classic TV action hero "MacGyver," a man who could get out of any jam given enough common household items to work with. MTV's Josh Horowitz spoke with the comedy sketch's creator (and the spin-off's director) Jorma Taccone as well as MacGruber himself, Will Forte, at SXSW about the difficulties of translating a series of brief parody sketches for the big screen and the differences between the two.

"It's much, much longer," Taccone said. "That's the biggest difference-- it's much, much longer." Read More...

Will ForteMove over MacGuyer... here comes MacGruber! Variety reports that Will Forte's bumbling spy is on his way to the big screen like so many "Saturday Night Live" characters before him. Expect considerably bigger explosions, more gum wrappers and deeper personal issues in this outing.

If you've never seen the "SNL" sketch and you can't figure out the joke purely from the character's name, allow me to recap. MacGruber (played by Forte) is a spoof of 1980s TV action hero MacGuyver, whose ability to get out of tight spots using common household items as bombs, weapons or lockpicks made him a legend. Unfortunately, MacGruber lacks those skills, or he is too distracted by his personal troubles to put them to use. Every skit ends with the character and his assistants dying in an explosion, only to be resurrected the following week. Read More...

Earlier this year, we brought you the news that The A-Team was reforming on the big screen courtesy of Ridley Scott and Joe Carnahan. Now they've got some '80s competition -- and considering how deadly he is with a toothpick and some bubble gum, they better watch out. Yes, that's right: We're getting MacGyver, the Movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Line is developing the television series into a feature film, with an eye to turning it into a "global franchise." It's being put together by the De Laurentiis family and the series original creator, Lee Zlotoff. They're currently looking for a writer who can honor the character's place in pop culture while still making a solid adventure movie. Read More...
