Peter FacinelliThree of my favorite things in this entire world are movies, baseball (Go Red Sox!) and the "Twilight" universe. So needless to say, I'm really friggin' excited about the one scene in November's movie that will combine all three.

This week's "Twilight" Tuesday focuses on the very cool Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen. While speaking with him, I got super excited when he revealed an ad lib he put into the baseball scene, revealing Carlisle's history of hanging out with Babe Ruth — and, much like myself, he cited the superpowered sequence as the moment he's most eager to see on the big screen.

"Personally, I'm hoping the vampire baseball scene will be really fun to watch," the actor insisted, saying that all those fastballs and leaping catches should jump off the page and onto the big screen. "I mean, you can only do so much with your imagination, when you're thinking about vampire baseball [and reading 'Twilight']. But actually seeing that and hearing the cracking of the bat? The super-vampire speed? That should be fun to watch." Read more...

Catherine HardwickeNowadays, "Twilight" fans are certain that no other filmmaker but Catherine Hardwicke could have been trusted with turning their beloved novel into a movie. But as we here at MTV remember, she nearly didn't direct the movie – or any other films ever again, for that matter.

During our interview that makes up this week's "Twilight Tuesday," Hardwicke talks about how she becomes so immersed in moviemaking that she even calls the actors by their character's names. While shooting the underrated "Lords of Dogtown" a few years ago, the director got so deep into thought, in fact, that she suffered a dangerous accident. Read more...

Robert Pattinson and Kristen StewartBy Ashley Zimmerman

As many of you Twilighters out there know, simultaneously dreaming of Edward Cullen and trying to keep current on all the "Twilight" news is a full-time job. And we just took live another new Twilight Tuesday here, called "Ten Things Comic-Con Taught Us About ‘Twilight'."

Luckily for me, as an intern here at MTV News – home of the one and only "Twilight" deity Larry Carroll – I had already been bitten by it all before I began working here. Since then, MTV has brought me one step closer to the stars of "Twilight" (I met Cam Gigandet yesterday!) and made December 12th seem that much closer. And as a good Twilighter, I want to pass along my access to all of you. Read more...

Our Robert Pattinson Super-Duper "Twilight" Tuesday Spectacular just went live over at MTV.com, and I do sincerely hope that you enjoy spending the day with your favorite actor in the "Twilight" universe.

I have to say from a personal standpoint, that as I've interviewed the stars of the December 12th film over the past few months and gotten to know them, they really are as nice, normal and down-to-earth as you would hope. There's Mike/Mike (who does a mean Peter Griffin imitation), Jackson Rathbone (whom I had a great conversation with about our shared love of all things Daniel Johnston), and so many others. Often when I meet a new person who finds out what I do for a living, their first question is "So, which celebrities are the biggest jerks in real life?" Thanks to "Twilight," I have a few new names of nice celebs to drop, so I can balance out my karma.

RPattz, however, might just be the coolest. Some jealous guys will always look at him and think "pretty boy," but he's as carefree and sloppy as the rest of us dudes – he just looks a lot better in that jeans and t-shirt combo. Rob is happy to answer any question you could throw his way, is a talented actor, and gets a kick out of all the "Twilight" insanity that just makes him that much more fun to watch. Read more...

Mike Welch"Twilight" fans have always made their exuberance known, whether they're delivering gift baskets to the stars' hotel rooms, flooding our message boards with thousands of questions for their favorite actors, or attempting to send me into outer space. The enthusiasm reached an all new level recently, however, when Twilighters began posting on sites like TwilightLexicon.com that Mr. Mike Welch deserved his own day of "Twilight Tuesday" treatment.

Well, our interview with Mike/Mike just went live here, and he had a lot of fun things to say about the fanbase that loves him. But he also wanted our help in getting the word out to one particularly enthusiastic Twilighter.

"NoMoreMarbles, I'm sure she's watching," Mike laughed, referring to one of our all-time favorite Twilighters, who has made a name for herself uploading videos like this one. "I would like to have an interview with you." Read more...

Cullen CrestWhen the bat-signal flies high in the sky, you know that Bruce Wayne is about to come around the corner and save the day. The Transformers use theirs to distinguish the Autobots from the Decepticons. Bands (The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag), people (Prince, Ron Paul) and ideals (Peace, Smiley-ness) use symbols every day.

Now, the bloodsucking beauties from "Twilight" are ready to join the ranks of the symbolic - and MTV has your first look at The Cullen Crest.

"This is something that's not in the book; it's a little detail in the movie that you are going to glimpse at," explained Peter Facinelli, showing us Carlisle's finger jewelry. "It's a family crest - the Cullen family crest - and each one of us carry it. Mine is in the form of a ring, some of the kids have it on as a bracelet, some have a pendant. Each one of us carries the family Cullen crest."

Designed by director Catherine Hardwicke and her team, the shamrocks-and-lions-powered crest was presented to stars like Facinelli and Nikki Reed, who were then allowed to choose the jewelry their character would wear. Read more...

Twilight CoverWhile most people will always remember where they were the moment that Kennedy was assassinated or the O.J. verdict came down, Twilighters can never forget a third event: Where they were when they bought their first Stephenie Meyer novel.

Somehow, the literary phenomenon had escaped me. Much like Pinkberry or Kelis' "Milkshake" song, "Twilight" managed to capture the hearts and minds of millions while I was obliviously living a life without it. Then in January I interviewed Miss Kristen Stewart at Sundance as part of my job, and much like any day at the "office," we discussed upcoming projects she was excited about. MTV News ran a brief item on her remarks, and it broke the Movies Blog record for reader comments! Read more...

Nikki ReedIt was a gamble that paid off in a big way for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, but may have helped sink the "Matrix" films. As for the "Back to the Future" flicks, well, that battle continues to rage on. Now, the "Twilight" series is the latest blockbuster franchise making plans to shoot multiple sequels at the same time.

"It's been discussed," producer Greg Mooradian revealed to MTV News. "I can't tell you we're at that place yet, but it's definitely been discussed."

The advantages to such a plan are obvious: Rather than building sets and tearing them down only to be re-built a few years later, they can film multiple scenes; instead of selling vehicles and re-buying them (such as Carlisle Cullen's Mercedes, which can be seen here), they can hold on to them; rather than having thirty-year-old actors pretending to still be in high school, they can stay the same age in each film.

"Our vampires can't age…if they were like 45, people would say 'What's up?'" laughed director Catherine Hardwicke, citing one of the main problems with filming Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" and "Eclipse" novels. "[Filming them together] could be the case. Then, you just get it done." Read more...

Ashley GreeneFirst off, Ashley Greene is like the nicest person I think I've ever talked to in my entire life. Secondly, she gave us tons of cool "Twilight" revelations when I interviewed her from the set of the movie, which resulted in this just-published article. Make sure you head over to the Movies site and check it out.

But in my mind, one of the most interesting characters in the series is Bella's soft-spoken father Charlie. Naturally, I had to ask Ashley whether rumors on his casting were correct.

"Billy Burke is playing him," she confirmed. "It's funny, because he's friends with a couple of my really good friends. He was in 'Fracture,' and 'Untraceable' with Diane Lane, which I really want to see. I've only met him once, and I don't really have any scenes with him yet. But I think he's a pretty good fit...He's commented on making the character a strong character." Read more...
