Uwe BollBy his own admission, the scripts for most Uwe Boll films are somewhat lackluster. That's why he's decided that for his next movie, he won't have one.

Boll, whose "Postal" recently got dumped by theater owners across the country, told MTV News that most of "Janjaweed," his new movie about the Darfur massacre, will consist almost entirely of "improv."

"I want to go for a cast of characters who will go into the parts, because I want to improv the dialogue. Everybody should be based on his own research of creating that character," Boll revealed. "I think this would be better if it really feels like, 'I could get killed here so should I go or should I try to save the baby here or die?' I want to create the feeling that they're really into it and we have some surprising elements that happen during the shoot." Read more...

Call us prophets if you like, or maybe we just have an eye for talent. Granted she was already a "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit model when we met her, but we sensed bigger things in store. And that's what happened today when "Maxim Magazine" unveiled its Hot 100 list and placed Miller at the very top.

So we're happy to remind everyone that this blonde beauty was the first guest on the weirdest talk show we've ever done...The Pudding Show, where all we talk about is everyone's favorite desert. Oh, and Uwe Boll was on too. Watch the hijinks below and remember, before "Maxim" had her, she was all ours.

Uwe BollHere's a joke: Did you hear the one about Uwe Boll directing a movie version of the acclaimed video game series "Metal Gear Solid"? So did Uwe Boll – only he's not laughing.

"This was an absurd story," Boll told MTV News about how his name got attached and then removed from a cinematic adaptation. "Two French guys wrote a script, said they are from Konami hired to write the script, said ‘You wanna direct it?' I read the script, I liked the script. I said, 'Yes, I can do it.'"

A quick deal! Fortune and glory awaited Mr. Boll. Well, they would. Too bad those two French dudes were flat-out con-artists. Read more...

Uwe BollWhatever else negative you can say about Uwe Boll, one thing you can't criticize him on is his strong love for video games. I mean, there may be over 200,000 signatures on an online petition asking that he stop making movies, but he clearly loves the gamer market, and at least goes into each project hoping to make good films for that fanboy community.

Right? Right?!?

"You go for it, to please the game fans, but on the other hand if you have the hard core gamers, they live in their own world. And you cannot fulfill their ideas from a video game based movie, it's impossible," Boll recently told MTV News. "And to be honest, the real gamers are the typical download guys, right? They don't pay anything for movies, because they illegally download the movies. So why I should please these guys? I need the normal audience."

That's the Uwe Boll I know and love – the Uwe Boll who'll criticize even his most ardent followers. God bless you, sir. Read more...

Uwe BollPoor Uwe Boll. I've seen fanboys take a stand against bad directors, but I've never seen anybody so reviled that there's literally hundreds of thousands of people ready to stand up and scream in a clear, loud voice, "For the love of all that is holy, please stop making movies!" Which, of course, is exactly what is happening to Boll, with an online petition practically guaranteed to hit a million signatures before too long.

But why Boll and not others? That's what Boll himself wants to know, telling MTV News that too many directors get a "free pass."

Oh boy, here we go again. Read more...

Best known as Mini-Me in the "Austin Powers" trilogy, pint-sized player Verne Troyer stars as a member of a traveling theater group in Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," otherwise known as the film that tragically features Heath Ledger's final performance.

When we caught up with Troyer -- who is currently starring in Uwe Boll's "Postal" and will soon be seen in Mike Myer's "Love Guru" -- the actor became visibly emotional when discussing his work with Ledger, thanking his Aussie colleague for "letting him be part of his life." Watch the poignant moment below, and then click here for more of Troyer's tribute to his fallen friend.

In case you missed it, our videogame-playing neighbors over at the Multiplayer blog have been running a really fun feature lately, asking gaming companies and personalities how to pronounce their difficult-looking names. They already did Ubisoft, Nintendo's president Reggie Fils-Aime, and something from "God of War II." But this week's name-dropper is most notable for us at the Movies Blog: German filmmaker Uwe Boll, spinner of such "films" as "Postal," "Alone in the Dark," and "Bloodrayne." Get learned below.
