Is it just me, or was 2008 one of the worst years for movies ever?
Well folks, the time has finally come to vent. It’s one of my favorite days of the year, as my Razzie ballot just arrived in the mail. As a registered voter, I take my obligation very seriously, and it’s always interesting to see what the annual awards for bad filmmaking have nominated for the worst of the worst.

Yes, that's right -- Uwe Boll is making another movie. He'll never stop, you know. It doesn't matter how many petitions we sign, and how much we complain and flame, it only fuels his film making fervor. But at least your favorite video game is safe this time, as this time he's taking a break and going apocalyptic with "The Storm." And as always, he has managed to land a cast that should know better. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he's attracted the talents of Lauren Holly and Luke Perry.
Holly plays a dedicated wife and mother who is faced with more than getting the kids to soccer practice -- the end of days is coming. She meets a mysterious stranger named Silas (played by Perry) who holds the key to the world's impending doom. Read more...
Chances are, you either love German director Uwe Boll or you hate him. Actually, no, revise that: chances are you hate him. Everyone else does. Two of his films currently reside among the Bottom 100 at Imdb.com. The highest rating he's ever gotten, in fact, isn't even average - it's a four on a ten point scale.
But hating on Uwe Boll is tired and lame, and, besides, it's not our style here at MTV News. So when Leelee Sobieski and Kristanna Loken, the two female stars of his latest film "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale," showed up at our studios recently, we wanted instead to give them a chance to exalt the man, to sing his praises, to put him back in his rightful place among all-time directors.
