But in her storied career of more than two decades, there is one project that trumps even J.R.R. Tolkien's fabled legendarium in Thurman's own personal game of career What if … what if she had gotten to work with Stanley Kubrick?

"I was going to make a film with him -- for a long time I was scheduled to make a film with him," she said of "Wartime Lies," a movie she was signed on to make with Kubrick in the early 90s. Uma ThurmanTwo year ago Quentin Tarantino piqued the interest of film fans everywhere when he promised two new anime companion films to "Kill Bill," one supposedly about the origin of The Bride and the other about Bill himself.

We don't know what's happened to the story of The Bride, but the other animated film is going to blow you away, insisted star Uma Thurman.

"His anime stuff is strong," she smiled.

We say we don't know what happened to the story of the Bride, by the way, because Thurman claims to have never recorded a voice-over for the anticipated project.

"It has nothing to do with me," she said. "It has to do with another character. You'll have to see." Read more...

"Yeah, I was asked," Thurman confirmed to MTV News of an offer from Peter Jackson to play Eowyn in the second and third films in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Talk about a weighty subject...in "The Life Before Her Eyes," Uma Thurman plays a woman who's suffering from survivor's guilt following a Columbine-like attack 20 years ago that took the life of her best friend. The film -- from the director of "House of Sand and Fog" -- also stars Evan Rachel Wood as Thurman's younger self, with Eva Amurri taking up the role as her friend. Watch an exclusive clip below, and then catch the film in theaters on April 18.

In "The Accidental Husband," Uma Thurman plays a radio show host whose advice leads one caller to dump her boyfriend (Robert Downey Jr. doppleganger Jeffrey Dean Morgan), which promptly leads him to falsify a marriage to Thurman. Below, watch as Thurman's statuesque character is forced to keep Morgan in line when cake is placed in front of him. Oh, those crazy men! "The Accidental Husband" hits theaters on March 7.
