When it was announced that Megan Fox wouldn't be returning for the third installment of the "Transformers" franchise, many wondered who would be appealing enough to keep the predominantly young male fan base drooling.

Enter Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the knockout Victoria's Secret model, who is not only stepping off the runway and onto the big screen for her acting debut, but is taking over as the female lead in the billion-dollar franchise, for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." While we still don't know how her character Carly will stack up against Fox's Mikaela, Rosie has already joined the ranks of models who have made the transition to film.

As we anticipate the 24-year-old beauty's breakout role, we look back at five memorable model's performances on celluloid (hey, it's one of the few times we can actually use "model" and "celluloid" in the same sentence), the good, the bad, and the (coyote) ugly.

In other tweets, calls are going out for an auto-tuned edition of the Jet Blue attendant's tirade from before he bailed on the runway. Amanda Bynes' retirement from acting didn't last long, and she let the world know that she's back in the business Friday. Twitter-Wood took notice and reacted accordingly, and I've retweeted a couple such comments after the jump. Brian Lynch's in particular could be a billion-dollar idea.

Jamie Chung saw this coming a week ago. A 4.4 earthquake hit Los Angeles this morning, and I though she didn't seem to notice on her account, it registered with other faces in Twitter-Wood like Samm Levine, Alison Brie and Tyrese Gibson.

Aziz Ansari probably slept through it, though, as his recent postings indicate he was up late watching the "Twilight" movies. You can check out his reaction to a "New Moon" spoiler below. After the jump, you can also read Fred Durst's manicure advice for Tyra Banks and a tip for Best Buy from Steve Agee. It's in Twitter-Wood for 16th, 2010. Read More...

Tyra BankSure, the now-playing adaptation of Lisi Harrison's teen book series "The Clique" is Tyra Banks' debut in an executive producer role, but as fans of "America's Next Top Model" are well aware, Banks is no stranger to presiding over auditions. And Elizabeth McLaughlin and Ellen Marlow , the stars of "Clique," -- which hit DVD store shelves this week -- told MTV News' Kim Stolz they learned that the hard way.

"It was scary," laughed Marlow, who said the sight of Banks behind a desk when she entered the audition room was intimidating, to say the least. "I was like, 'Please don't make me take a picture!'"

And Banks said the comparison between the film's audition process and that of "Top Model" wasn't lost on her, either. Read More...
