With the MTV Movie Awards wrapped up and the winners basking in the glory of their golden popcorn, we couldn't help but wonder about all the talented actors, filmmakers, and musicians who shared success in this year of movies — even if they didn't score at the big show last night.

Looking at past Movie Awards and the category changes that have emerged, it's interesting to wonder who might have left the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles last night with an award to their name. What if Best On-Screen Duo still existed, for example? Would that have been an instant victory for Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis? That's the question we're tackling after the jump as we get into full-on daydreaming mode about the Movie Awards categories of yesteryear and the stars of 2011.

Mila and Natalie showed some real intense chemistry on screen in "Black Swan." While the on-going competition and jealously between the two dancers may make them seem like candidates for worst enemies, how can anyone forget their awesome hook up scene after a night of crazy drugs, dancing, and booze? They might've lost Best Kiss, but they'd definitely get our vote for best duo!

With two "Snow White" movies coming out that feature two increasingly appealing casts it's going to be really difficult to decide which is the fairest of them all.

Case in point: Hugh Jackman is being eyed for "Snow White and the Huntsman" (if you're keeping tabs, that's the one with Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron, not the "Brothers Grimm" one starring Julia Roberts and Lily Collins.)

According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has made an offer to Jackman for the Huntsman in question. The part was once intended for Viggo Mortensen, but he has since dropped out. Plus, since Jackman looks like, as Liz Lemon would put it, "a damn Disney prince," this casting would be nothing short of inspired. But will the star actually sign on? As Deadline noted not only would the star get a hefty paycheck, but he's also pretty busy trying to find a replacement director for "The Wolverine."

In July 2007, "Tron Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski took his first meeting with Disney about resurrecting the classic, geek-trapped-inside-a-computer flick for a new generation. Nearly four years later, he still can't quite leave it behind.

Just weeks after the film's December release, Kosinski was back in the edit room, tweaking the film that would eventually gross over $400 million worldwide. Hey, you can't blame a guy for being a perfectionist — especially if he's lived and breathed the world of "Tron" for four years. And as result, the director has dubbed the Blu-ray release — which hits shelves on Tuesday (April 5) — the "definitive" version of "Tron Legacy."

A few days ago, Kosinski gave MTV News a call to talk about the new release, his response to criticism of the effects work to turn Jeff Bridges into a younger version of himself, and why the next "Tron" sequel can be compared to "The Dark Knight."

Last fall’s “Tron Legacy” was one of the most anticipated movies of all time. From the teaser film released at Comic-Con International in San Diego years before to the elaborate events staged across the country, “Tron Legacy” was one of the most unique films in recent memory — and that’s before you factor in the special effects. But for “Tron” fans, this was something they’ve been waiting for since 1982. And they weren’t alone.

For actor Bruce Boxleitner, the resurgence of the “Tron” franchise 15+ years after the original was a chance to continue the story and give back to the fans who have approached him throughout the years expressing their love for the original film and the desire for more.

Although he starred in two major television hits in “Scarecrow & Mrs. King” and “Babylon 5,” Boxleitner will always be best remembered by the world at large as the computer program that fought for the users. Today’s release of “Tron Legacy” on Blu-ray and DVD offers both the final iteration of the 2010 film as well as a look into the future with the series of new short films Boxleitner shot for the collection. With the DVD of “Tron: Legacy” hitting shelves next week (April 5), fans are in for a load of new material – but that’s not all they have to look forward to.

Next year, "Tron" lovers can tune in to Disney XD and see the next chapter in the epic sci-fi franchise when the animated series “Tron: Uprising” makes its debut. The 10-part series is set between the time of the first film and last December’s “Tron: Legacy,” showing the titular Tron training a new program to take up his cause. For actor Bruce Boxleitner, it’s a long-overdue chance to fill in this missing chapter for the franchise and his character.

“In this story, Tron is a much more battle-hardened warrior than you’ve seen before,” the veteran actor tells MTV News. “It’s like 'The Mask of Zorro' where he’s looking for a young one to train and to have that master-student relationship.”

This Tuesday (April 5) sees the long-awaited release of “Tron: Legacy” on DVD and Blu-Ray, and with that comes the question on everyone’s mind: will there be a third “Tron” film? If you ask veteran actor Bruce Boxleitner who plays the titular character, it’s an enthusiastic yes.

“I think 'Tron: Legacy' left it open-ended,” Boxleitner said in an interview with MTV News. “You see two beautiful people riding off into the sunrise, and Quora seeing sunrise for the first time. That leaves it open to imagination and speculation."

"We also saw Cillian Murphy and the boardroom at ENCOM when Sam pulled the stunt in the beginning," he continued. "All these things have been left hanging out there.”

"The King's Speech" is likely to dominate the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday (February 27), but if zombies, aliens, vampires and dream hijackers are more your speed, just hang tight until June.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy Films have announced the nominations for the 37th Annual Saturn Awards, which honor excellence in all things gruesome, awesome and everything in between for both movies and television.

Christopher Nolan's "Inception" leads the pack in the film categories with nine nominations (one more than its outstanding Oscar nom total), including Best Science Fiction Film, Best Writing and Best Director for Nolan. He'll square off against directors Darren Aronofsky ("Black Swan"), Clint Eastwood ("Hereafter"), Matt Reeves ("Let Me In"), Martin Scorsese ("Shutter Island") and David Yates ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1").

"Inception" will also vie for Best Special Effects, Best Writing (Nolan), Best Music (Hans Zimmer), Best Actress (Ellen Page) and Best Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio, who competes against himself for his work in "Shutter Island.")

"Tron: Legacy" is still kicking it in the box office, having made more than $163 million domestic to date, but that doesn't mean it's too early to start talking about the DVD extras. Or, to be more specific, how the DVD extras relate to the planned "Tron 3."

Harry Knowles over at Ain't It Cool News got the scoop that a teaser of sorts was going to be included on the upcoming DVD, and will be made up of at least three scenes. All the footage was shot before Thanksgiving this past year, so in other words, it was shot with the rest of the film.

The most memorable movie lines require three things: They must sound like something a real person (or at least the character uttering them) would, you know, actually say; they must be smarter, funnier and snappier than what a real person would actually say (this sounds like it would contradict the first point, but it doesn't); and they must have a great actor to give them a great delivery. It's a delicate balance, and one that takes both skill -- and a tiny bit of luck -- to achieve.

This year was packed with plenty of ear-pleasing, intensely quotable movie quotes, ranging from the highbrow ("The Social Network" and "True Grit") to the not-so-highbrow ("The Other Guys" and "Machete"). Some movies -- here's looking at you, "Social Network" -- were so full of amazing one-liners and witty exchanges that I could have made a top 10 list just drawing from them.
