Whatever the forthcoming "Tron" sequel ends up calling itself, one thing is clear: fans are anxiously -- and cautiously -- following the project. We've been no exception, covering everything from the initial announcement to the casting of Bruce Boxleitner and his new generation of co-stars. But it won't be just fresh faces that audiences will be contending with...according to one cast member the entire film will be unlike anything we've ever seen.

Olivia WildeOne of the most buzzed about movies at this year's Comic-Con was Joseph Kosinski's "Tron 2.0” (then titled "Tr2n"), Disney's sequel to their 1982 technology classic. It's hard to believe that a sequel to a twenty-six year old movie could create such a frenzy -- but hey, I was there, and the footage was pretty darn cool.

As it turned out, none of the revealed footage was from the film, but test scenes cooked up to test the special effects and wind up the geek audience at Comic-Con. The film has vanished off the radar a bit, but you can expect the buzz to pick up again now that casting has begun.

TronComic-Con just revealed a BIG surprise courtesy of an old school property that's about to get a big screen revamping.

We have just seen footage of a new "Tron" movie and yes, Jeff Bridges is back!

During a Disney panel that was ostensibly set up to promote "Race to Witch Mountain," the studio waited until the very end to reveal their new version of "Tron." And the new film has an official title, "Tr2n." Yes, it is officially a sequel.

Since no casting or release date had even been announced for the film, the debut of fully completed footage, much less starring Jeff Bridges, caught everyone by surprise.

And it wasn't just the fact that Bridges appeared in the teaser, the Oscar-nominated actor appeared to be playing two different characters -- Flynn (from the original) and a younger version of himself.
