Memories and condolences in the wake of R&B performer Teena Marie's death were out in force in Twitter-Wood this morning. Ice-T, Quinton Aaron, Sasha Grey and Tyrese Gibson all noted her importance and expressed their grief in posts, whether they were friends, fans or both.

Hugh Hefner's engagement to 24-year-old Playboy Playmate Crystal Harris also attracted attention today. Patton Oswalt and Seth Green both contributed opinions on that front, while Tinsel Korey shared her favorite scene from "Eclipse." Accidents abounded today as news of a mishap at the Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" spread and winter weather caused some mayhem. Tom Felton, for instance, has been having a bad run of driving luck, but it does sound like he's okay.

Yesterday marked a sad anniversary, too, as Rose McGowan noted that it's been one year since Brittany Murphy's death. Her thoughts, as well as a shot of one of our favorite "Twilight" series actresses lending a hand at a Phoenix food bank, have been retweeted after the jump.

Today marked a sad day of remembrance for Chicago Cubs fans with the passing of former third baseman Ron Santo. Unless you're an avid Twitter reader, however, you may not have known that the Major League Baseball legend played a big role in actor Gary Sinise's life. David Fincher's "The Social Network" has been getting some solid buzz around the Toronto International Film Festival, Richard Kelly has decided to contribute via his Twitter account. In fact, there was a lot to be excited about in the feed today. 50 Cent got cozy with a friend in a pic from the recording studio, a couple of "Eclipse" actress discovered a surprising snack-related coincidence in their lives and "Weird Al" Yankovic questioned a quote from Lindsay Lohan.

Some citizens of Twitter-Wood were able to score seats inside or at home during the MTV Video Music Awards last night. Dane Cook and Chris Pine found themselves on the wrong side of a locked door right before Eminem's performance, judging from a post on Cook's account.

Meanwhile, much of Hollywood has been focused on Toronto in recent days with the Toronto International Film Festival underway. James Gunn and Rachelle Lefevre both had important screenings going down according to their feeds. Twitter-Wood had work tweets galore today, with Betty White showing up to the "Community" set, Milla Jovovich coming into contact with a prisoner and Tyrese Gibson hanging out with his crew for "Fast and the Furious 5." Meanwhile, "Eclipse" actress Tinsel Korey may not actually be working with Eminem yet, but she would like to make that happen.

The new "Social Network" trailer is out, and whether they were involved in producing the film or not, Twitter-Wood tweeters took notice of the Facebook movie's newly publicized clips.

Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" has likewise been drawing some attention, and actress Michelle Rodriguez offered her own assessment of her character's look via Twitter today. Did "Toy Story 3" frighten you? Well, one notable director got the heebie-jeebies from it, and his identity may surprise you. In the meantime, director Lee Unkrich posted a shot of Woody as he might have looked in the film if circumstances had been different.

Everyone in "Eclipse" is probably very satisfied with things just the way they are in regards to their movie's performance. Ashley Greene in particular had to share how she feels with everyone. After announcing that he would end his talk show's run on CNN, Larry King got some advice from a talk show host who knows a thing about leaving programs behind. I don't know if Conan O'Brien's circumstances are comparable to King's, but his insight was good for a laugh.
