If you're heading out to see "A Very Harold And Kumar Christmas" this weekend, you can expect to be highly entertained by its stars, John Cho, Kal Penn and, of course, Neil Patrick Harris. You should also keep an eye out for the scene-stealing supporting players like Jake Johnson and Tom Lennon.

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with Lennon recently during the film's press day and in addition to being consistently hilarious, he was very helpful in explaining one of the film's big mysteries: how they managed to get the 2-year-old actresses in the film to appear as though they are high as a kite.

“There was a baby whisperer on set, which was the only way we really did anything because when I first read the script I was like, ‘Oh [my character] has a baby with him the whole time,’ and I thought, 'Oh that’s great, babies are super easy,'" said Lennon. "I’ve had a baby, they don’t do anything. Well, they cry once in a while but then they mostly kind of sleep and go, ‘Waaaaa’ and look at you."

Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell started off as unlikely allies in "The Other Guys." But that shaky partnership has blossomed into something beautiful. Hilariously beautiful, but beautiful all the same.

Deadline reports that the two actors are joining forces for "Turkey Bowl," a new comedy about two guys from rival football-obsessed towns who lead their teams in an annual tackle football game for bragging rights. Lots of star-studded cameos are expected. Sounds perfect, if for no other reason than the news gives us an excuse to repost our Ferrell/Wahlberg "Knife Show" video.

Check out the rest of today's big casting news after the jump, including Michelle Williams' potential trip to "Oz" and the latest developments on "Akira."

ThorThe day of the norseman is nigh! The release of "Thor" is just two weeks away and if you're like us, you're seeing advertisements everywhere. We thought the poster was just plain ol' intense, but one actor had a different interpretation of Thor's icy gaze.

Meanwhile, if you follow anyone under 60 on Twitter, you're already well-aware that yesterday was 4/20. National Weed Day has drifted away from us like a puff of smoke in the breeze, but at least the internet lasts forever -- and as actors toked up, they also tweeted out. Plus, a "G.I. Joe" cast member is officially back for the sequel.

Rise of the Planet of the ApesThe trailer for the succinctly named "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" dropped today, sending the movie world into an ape-like frenzy. But it's not just the trailer itself that's catching some attention -- some are taking issue with the film's new title. While certain fans are upset with the name, one Hollywood director got the inside scoop on the film's "original working title."

As if that wasn't enough, the "Rock of Ages" director announced some huge casting news for the musical through his Twitter account. We won't give it away yet (okay, maybe we already did), but he's British, you know his name, and he's married to Katy Perry. Any guesses?

Wolverine'I Love You, Man” has established its legacy. Not because it came out at a time when the nebulous idea of the pop culture bromance had started cropping up in newspaper trend pieces. Not because the film, starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel as unlikely best buds, grossed over $70 million dollars at the box office. “I Love You, Man” has secured its spot in the cultural lexicon because the king of Hollywood comedies, Judd Apatow, has lovingly poked fun at it in one of his movies.

As writer/director John Hamburg tells MTV News, “There’s a line in ‘Funny People’ where a guy tells Adam Sandler’s character, ‘Oh, your career is hot—Paul Rudd wants to star in a bromance with you.’ I emailed Judd and said, ‘Do you have a director for that project?’” Read More...

Zac EfronZac Efron + $24 million dollar opening = sure-fire sequel. Right? The tricky thing is that the movie in question is the old-guy-becomes-a-teenager comedy ‘17 Again,’ in which Efron plays a young version of Matthew Perry’s character. Where does a screenwriter go from there in a quest to move the story forward?

Efron’s co-star, Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911!”) has a couple ideas. “You turn it into 18-year-old Zac Efron, who’s maybe even a little bit hunkier and dreamer than 17-year-old Zac Efron,” he said in a recent interview with MTV News. “Although both of ‘em pretty much break the dreamy meter.”

“Oh my god, wouldn’t that be awesome!” he laughed. “I’m down for it! I have no problem doing ‘18 Again.’ Basically the same premise…. I ain’t picky.” Read More...

Ben Stiller

Three years ago, Ben Stiller took a night watchman’s job at the Museum of Natural History; $250 million later, it was obvious that movie theater patrons were eager to see his exhibit once again.

Hence, “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” which will come to life in theaters everywhere May 22nd. And once again, Stiller’s secret weapon will be “Reno 911!” stars/hotshot Hollywood writers Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon.

“The big mandate for ‘Night at the Museum 2’ came from Ben Stiller - he is one of the funniest guys you’ll ever meet - and he said the only rule for ‘Museum 2’ was that it had to be funnier than the first ‘Night at the Museum’,” explained Lennon. “And we said ‘Okay, that sounds great; we’ll go from there,’ and the cast started getting better and better, until it was just literally a who’s who of the funniest people in the world.”

Thomas LennonYou might know Thomas Lennon as one of the founding members of the hilarious sketch-comedy troupe The State. You might know him as a scene-stealing co-star in movies like “Balls of Fury” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” or as the writer of “Herbie Fully Loaded” and the “Night at the Museum” movies. Oh, who are we kidding? You know him as the shorty-shorts clad Lieutenant Dangle from “Reno 911!”

Recently, we caught up with one of Hollywood’s most versatile funnymen – and Lennon told us that with the “Night at the Museum” sequel on the way, the chaotic writing schedule of himself and partner-in-crime Robert Ben Garant is only getting busier, and there are robots on the horizon.
