Kristen StewartWith Amanda Seyfried featured in the upcoming adaptation of "Red Riding Hood," could Kristen Stewart be the next actress to accomplish every young girl's dream and, quite literally, step into a fairytale? That seems to be the talk surrounding the "Twilight" star and Universal's buzzed-about action-adventure, "Snow White and the Huntsman."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 20-year-old's name keeps cropping up at Universal.

In fact, while other actresses have already screen-tested for the latest adaptation of the classic (including, among others, Stewart's "Runaways" co-star Riley Keough, "Sucker Punch" actress Emily Browning, and Felicity Jones, whose "Like Crazy" was a Sundance breakthrough), the studio seems anxious to make it Stewart's first project after "Breaking Dawn" wraps up.

We've had our own thoughts on who should snag the coveted role as Snow White in director Rupert Sanders' modern day take on the Brothers Grimm tale, but a post-"Twilight" Stewart could be more than enough of a draw for Universal to call off the search for any other actresses.

Whether or not Stewart goes from Bella Swan to Snow White, she would certainly be in good company. The project has already had big names like Johnny Depp (for said Huntsman, natch) and Charlize Theron (in talks to play the evil queen Ravenna) thrown into the ring. In fact, THR also reports today that Viggo Mortensen is eyeing a role (likely the Huntsman) in the film.

Do you think Kristen Stewart would make for a good Snow White?

The headline pretty much says it all. In the below clip from "The Runaways," you'll see "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart -- as Joan Jett -- picking up a guitar and wailing away in nothing more than a t-shirt and panties. Think "Risky Business," only more metal, less Tom Cruise.

This Friday, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning will hit the big screen as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie in a dramatized telling of classic girl-rock band, The Runaways. I haven't had the opportunity to see it yet, but I hear that's it pretty good, and mostly Fanning's show. It's opening in limited release this weekend so not everyone will be able to catch it, but I intend to.

The Runaways certainly aren't the first band to get a biopic, nor will they be the last. So I'd like to now submit a few others for Hollywood's approval, bands and/or musicians with fascinating stories that could and should be done great justice with a big screen telling. Read more...

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Kristen Stewart has totally arrived: she braved her first ever interview with Jay Leno last night, appearing on The Tonight Show to promote the soon-to-be-released "The Runaways." Walking out in a short black minidress and leopard Christian Louboutin heels to the hard guitar strains of music from the movie, the girl made famous by the "Twilight Saga" looked a little bit nervous as she took her seat.

Jay's big, squeaky personality could have overrun Kristen's more reserved interview style, but the star held her own while Jay asked her about her recent trip to England and launched into a story about a confusing attempt to order pancakes at a London restaurant. So, what'd she think of the food across the pond?

"I actually don't mind it," she said, mildly. "It's got a bad rap."

Yesterday, MTV's Hollywood Crush ran an exclusive music video/trailer for the upcoming Kristen Stewart/Dakota Fanning-starring biopic about The Runaways, the all-girl 1970s rock group known for (among other things) their song "Cherry Bomb." The video, embedded below, is filled with clips from the movie, but the entire thing is set to the music of "Cherry Bomb" as performed by Stewart, Fanning et al.

Hit the jump for a video of the actual band performing the song. You'll notice that the costume designer for the movie really nailed it. The fictional Runaways do a solid job of filling in for the real ones in general. The only big difference I can see? Fanning's voice registers at a much higher pitch than the real-life Cherie Currie's does. Judge for yourself after the jump, and share your thoughts in the comment section below or @MTVMoviesBlog on Twitter. Read more...

FROM MTV.COM: When MTV News caught a screening of Kristen Stewart's "The Runaways" at the Sundance Film Festival in January, we came away impressed by how the 19-year-old actress "physically embodies the role [of rocker Joan Jett] and curses and growls as the part demands." What did it take for KStew to embody so movingly a real life '70s rock-and-roll icon?

A keen sense of observation, a willingness to study hard and simply good casting. That's how ex-Runaways guitarist Jett explained it in an Interview magazine story.

Most people (rightfully) associate the annual South by Southwest with music, but film has been an integral component of the festivities since 1994. This year's event kicks off in March, with the film portion running from March 12 through March 20. And the lineup is now officially announced.

There are a smattering of Sundance 2010 favorites here, including the Jonah Hill-starring comedy "Cyrus," the Bill Murray/Robert Duvall/Lucas Black-led indie "Get Low" and the Kristen Stewart/Dakota Fanning-led music biopic "The Runaways." There are also a bunch of world premieres, including several which are sure to be popular across a wide range of viewers. The most noteworthy of those is probably the documentary "Saturday Night," which marks the directorial debut for former "Spider-Man" star and recent "General Hospital" guest James Franco." More details after the break. Read more...

FROM MTV.COM: The Sundance Film Festival is all about reunions, as casts and crews who worked on films months or even years before meet up in the Rocky Mountains to promote their projects and hit some afterparties. Sunday night at the Eccles Theatre was the setting for one of the festival's more curious reunions, when the members of the pioneering all-teen-girl '70s rock band the Runaways walked the red carpet with the stars portraying them in a big screen biopic "The Runaways," which tells the story of the band's rise and fall.

So there was Runaways guitarist/solo star Joan Jett next to her onscreen counterpart, Kristen Stewart, and singer Cherie Currie walking alongside her young cinematic doppelganger, Dakota Fanning (both of whom star in the "Twilight" saga). Asked to give their reactions the first time they saw the teen actors in costume as the Runaways, Jett and Currie's eyes lit up.

FROM MTV.COM: Kristen Stewart has been everywhere at this year's Sundance Film Festival: on red carpets, in extensive sit-down interviews and on the screen in two movies, "Welcome to the Rileys" and "The Runaways." Both films showcase the actress in her most mature roles to date, and in each one she shows more than a bit of skin (beware of spoilers below).

In the last shot of "Runaways," in which she plays real-life rocker Joan Jett, Stewart is seen floating underwater without any clothes on. Was that really her?
