Playing the most vicious man in "Watchmen" just might have influenced Jeffrey Dean Morgan's dark side. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan has signed on to star opposite Hilary Swank in "The Resident."

As we reported earlier, Swank will play a young doctor who finds the perfect loft apartment, but begins to feel a little creeped out in her new home. It turns out she's not alone, and that her handsome and charming landlord is spying on her. You can never quite predict what kind of role Hilary Swank is going to take next. She bounces from boxing to biopics effortlessly, and while reviews of her work are often mixed, you have to admire her guts. And from the sound of it thanks to today's Variety, her latest role is going to require her special brand of gutsiness for "The Resident," a thriller directed by Antti J. Jokinen.

Swank will play a doctor who moves into a Brooklyn loft, but begins feeling uneasy in her new home. She becomes convinced she's not alone, and discovers her landlord is stalking her. Whether he's been stalking her for a long time, or whether it's just convenient that a pretty girl moved into his building is unclear -- but I suspect Swank's character won't give up her apartment without a fight.
