The Next Three DaysWhat is a normal guy supposed to do when his beloved wife and the mother of his child is sentenced to 20 years in prison for a murder she claims she didn't commit? For Russell Crowe in the thriller "The Next Three Days," that answer is simple: break her out of prison.

Of course, this is Robin Hood and Maximus Decimus Meridius we're talking about, so it's easy to believe that Crowe could go from an average Joe living it Pittsburgh to the architect of an intricate and daring escape from a maximum security prison. With Elizabeth Banks playing Crowe's wife and "Crash" Oscar winner Paul Haggis directing, the film's got a stellar pedigree. Add to that the fact that it's based on the acclaimed French film "Pour Elle," has a supporting cast that includes Liam Neeson, Brian Dennehey and Olivia Wilde, and boasts one heck of a gripping trailer... and we're liking its chances to do well as counter-programming to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" when it hits theaters on November 19.

Check out two exclusive photos -- one of Banks and Crowe on the lam, and another of Haggis doing his directing thing -- from "The Next Three Days" after the jump! Read More...

While Olivia Wilde was making the media rounds last Friday, checking in on David Letterman the day after his extortion/infidelity clusterfrak and stopping by MTV News HQ for a chat, she was also getting ready to begin filming "The Next Three Days" in Pittsburgh.

Thankfully for everyone involved, our own Josh Horowitz had no embarrassing personal revelations to make during his time with Olivia, and the two ended up touching on her upcoming film role. Mind you, she didn't tell us much – or anything, really, beyond what has popped up in the trades over the past several months. But the 25-year-old "House" star was simply so lovely as she declared her preference for "playing it safe" when it came to plot details that it's hard for us to complain. Read More...

Russell CroweThere isn't a Russell Crowe movie that I won't watch. I confess to not only owning "A Good Year" but watching it multiple times simply because I occasionally need a trip to the French wine-country with a stern Australian. I've already pre-bought my ticket to Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood," and now I can check the calender days off for Crowe's latest, "The Next Three Days."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Days" actually has Crowe taking a break from Universal and his director friend Scott. The actor will team up with Paul Haggis ("Crash") and Lionsgate for this remake of the 2008 French thriller "Pour Elle." Read More...
