So ExcitedGood news comes to those who wait, which is why we're glad we've waited oh so patiently for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy to be rereleased in theaters. Look, even Gollum's excited!

The One Ring has the exciting scoop that AMC will screen all three director's cuts of the "Lord of the Rings" films over the course of three weeks in June. More news is on the way, they promise, but for now we know "Fellowship of the Ring" will start running on June 14, "The Two Towers" on June 21 and "The Return of the King" on June 28.

Most of us have watched the extended editions at home backwards and forwards many times since they've been released, but there are a couple of scenes in particular that we're really looking forward to seeing for the first time on the big screen. Check 'em out after the jump!

Orlando Bloom as LegolasThe past couple of weeks have seen a number of familiar "Lord of the Rings" faces confirm their returns to Middle-Earth in Peter Jackson's upcoming two-part prequel, "The Hobbit": First Elijah Wood joined up as "LOTR" hero Frodo Baggins, then news broke that Andy Serkis had locked a deal to reappear as Gollum, and finally came the refreshing news that Sir Ian McKellen is back on board as wisdom-spewing wizard Gandalf. But although reports of Orlando Bloom's return as Elvish archer Legolas in "The Hobbit" surfaced more than a month ago, we've had no confirmation since.

Today, however, comes word from Movieweb (via Heat World) that Bloom is indeed nearing a deal to reprise the beloved role. But here's the kicker: According to the report, he's in line to receive a cool $1 million for what will be just a two-minute cameo. Read more...

As you probably remember, Radio City Music Hall hosted a cool "Lord of the Rings"-related event in October. The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra, The Collegiate Chorale and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus collaborated in performing the score to "The Fellowship of the Ring" (conducted by Ludwig Wicki) while the movie played on a giant screen behind them.

Well now we've got word that Wicki and the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra will be back to do the show again, only next time it'll be for "The Two Towers," the second film in Peter Jackson's trilogy. Tickets are currently available through a Ticketmaster pre-sale, the code for which you can find on the concert's official website. There's a catch though: we've got a long wait ahead of us. The "Towers" shows will happen next year, on October 8 and 9, 2010. So don't go getting too excited just yet. Read more...

In just a few short weeks, New Yorkers will get a rare treat. Howard Shore's Oscar-winning score for "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" will be performed live at Radio City Music Hall by more than 300 musicians while the movie plays on a 60-foot screen above them. The performances -- spanning two evenings -- are the centerpiece of a week-long series celebrating the trilogy.

I'm here today to tell you about a cool panel that's happening on October 1 at The Paley Center for Media, located at 25 West 52nd St. MTV's own Kurt Loder will moderate Shore on the Score: The Music of "The Lord of the Rings," featuring Shore, The Music of the Lord of the Rings Films author Doug Adams and actor/musician Billy Boyd, who played the hobbit Pippin in the trilogy. As a special treat, MTV is happy to extend readers an offer to purchase tickets to the event at 50% off. That's a mere $10, a hard-to-resist offer even in these troubled economic times if you're a "Lord of the Rings" fan.
