GooniesTwenty-five years have passed, and we're happy to know that love for some of the best films of 1985 has stayed strong during that time. I of course am talking about "Back to the Future" and "The Goonies," both of which have been celebrated a lot in the past week. But while "Back to the Future" received two sequels, it is a bit surprising that "The Goonies" didn't get even one. But according to intel Collider got at the press day for "The Goonies" 25th Anniversary DVD, apparently a "Goonies" sequel was closer than any of us realized.

"There have been times up until five years ago where they actually had a script with well-renowned writers working on a great, magnificent script and it just didn’t happen," said star Corey Feldman. "There’s a lot of politics involved but the bottom line, like what Jeff [Cohen] said jokingly, but this is in all essences a treasure trove for Warner Bros. It's their classic family film of all time. So I think we would all be supportive in seeing it happen if there was the right script, if [Richard] Donner was at the helm and [Steven] Spielberg got behind it. Yeah, I'd be there." Read More...

Josh Brolin loves himself some "Goonies." Just yesterday I reported that he told MTV's Josh Horowitz about the now-finished Steven Spielberg-directed, Aaron Sorkin-scripted "Goonies 2." Now he's talking about "Goonies 3"?!?! Clearly we live in bizarro world. First though, he puts to rest a rumor that he'll have a role in Jason Reitman's upcoming reunion with "Juno" writer Diablo Cody, "Young Adult."

"Not true," Brolin said of the rumor. "No. He and I may do something else. I think that's where the wires crossed. He was very apologetic [after the rumor cropped up]. But I did read [the script] and thought it was great. I think Charlize [Theron] is going to be amazing." Read More...

Editor's Note: This is all a big joke. No facts here.

Josh Brolin has become quite the tough guy actor in recent years. "No Country For Old Men," "Grindhouse," "American Gangster," "Jonah Hex"... even the Dubya biopic "W." Make no mistake: whatever else you may think of the guy, George W. Bush is a modern-day cowboy.

But I digress. Brolin, a name you know. People often forget though that he got his start as Brandon Walsh, big brother to Sean Astin's Mikey, in the '90s classic, "The Goonies." MTV's Josh Horowitz brought this up when speaking to Brolin at the junket for "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," mentioning that there's been such a trend of reviving old franchises lately... so where's the "Goonies" sequel?

"'Goonies'... we just finished the sequel to 'Goonies,'" he said. "Spielberg directed it. And... who wrote it?" Josh knew immediately. Read More...

Steve Carrell isn't an actor we would typically think of as being despicable, but that seems to be the point of "Despicable Me." The villain he voices, Gru, actually ends up having a heart of gold -- as it turns out, he's not so despicable after all.

But there are quite a few other villains out there who are not as redeemable by the time their movies end. Here's a look at some of the most despicable bad guys in movie history, who we're sure will be keeping audiences terrified for years to come! Read More...
