Brad Pitt

When news broke that Brad Pitt had told "60 Minutes Australia" he would like to retire in three years, most people justifiably took it as the actor speaking in the hypothetical, with no serious threat of him leaving business behind. Pitt is only the most recent of many actors and directors who have come out to declare their plans for retirement, few of which—if any—have actually followed through.

But let's assume for a second that Pitt is serious, and that in three year's time, he will say goodbye to acting forever. With 26 films listed as "in development" on his IMDb profile, three years doesn't leave time for much. Even though most of those credits are projects he hopes to produce one day with his company Plan B, it would be safe to say that Pitt's final acting credits are listed there and that he won't get to everything.

If Pitt only has roughly five movies left in him, which should he choose? Here are our picks for Brad Pitt's last five films.

Christian BaleFrom its world premiere at the AFI Fest in November to the theatrical release in December to the awards-show circuit that wrapped up with the Oscars late last month, director David O. Russell has spent the last six months talking nonstop about "The Fighter."

And just when he thought he was done, the boxing drama's DVD and Blu-ray arrived this month. Once more back into the fray!

But here's the thing: he doesn't mind at all. While Russell would admit to a bit of "Fighter" fatigue during a recent MTV News interview, he said he continues to welcome the chance to chat about the movie. "Sure, there's some of that," he said about PR overkill. "At the same time, I love this movie so much and it was such a special experience."

It's no surprise, then, that he still has an urge to sit back and check out Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and the rest of the "Fighter" cast do their stuff on screen. "I wanted to watch it yesterday. I was listening to some of the music in my car," he laughed. "I like watching the first 15 minutes of it. I just think they're really good."

Now, with the DVD and Blu-ray on shelves, you not only have the chance to watch the Oscar-winning flick again, but you can also check out a never-before-seen deleted clip that MTV News has exclusively obtained. Watch it past the jump!

The deleted scene takes place fairly early in the film as Micky Ward (Wahlberg) waits at the boxing gym ready to work out. An HBO documentary crew is in place but his brother and trainer, Dicky Eklund, is nowhere to be found. Dicky, it turns out, has been up all night on a drug-bender. When he realizes he's late for training, he takes off running. The new clip shows some of Dicky's wacky encounters on his way to the gym. He stops in front of a neighbor's door for a smoke break and confronts a few kids who call him a loser.

"Look at me!" he tells the kids with that familiar jokey yet menacing manner. "You better watch it or I'll set my sisters on you. You don't want that."

Tell us what you think of the clip in the comments section and on Twitter!

The FighterMark Wahlberg has said that if and when a "Fighter" sequel actually takes off, he expects the entire cast to return, including Christian Bale in his Oscar-winning role of Dicky Eklund. "Everybody had such an amazing experience making the movie that I can't imagine they wouldn't want to go back," he told Entertainment Weekly.

The same, it seems, can be said of director David O. Russell. In a recent conversation with MTV News, while promoting the DVD release of "The Fighter," Russell said that not only is he interested in working on the sequel but that he wants to take a crack at penning the script.

"I think that would be awesome," the director said of the possibility of a sequel. "I just love those characters and I think we could do a lot of fun and interesting stuff."

Mark WahlbergMark Wahlberg failed to land an Oscar nomination for his work in "The Fighter," but perhaps he'll have another shot at the title when he returns as Micky Ward.

The previously nominated actor has made no secret about his hopes to bring "The Fighter" gang back together for a sequel, and now he's discussed his plans at length with Entertainment Weekly. But don't expect "The Fighter" to become the next "Rocky" franchise, as Wahlberg insists he's only interested in going for one more round in the ring.

"I’m trying to plant the idea in everyone’s head that we should do — not five or six Fighters like Rocky — but one more because the big thing that Micky Ward was famous for was his three epic battles with Arturo Gatti," he explained. "So we’re talking about possibly taking one more run at it."

The Academy Awards are only two days behind us and there’s already chatter of a sequel to one of this year’s Best Picture nominees.

Mark Wahlberg dished about a continued take on “The Fighter” while walking the Oscar red carpet this past Sunday (February 27). Supposedly, he’s already entered into talks regarding a companion film, which would focus on the torrid ring-bound history of Micky Ward and boxing opponent Arturo Gatti.

We’re not exactly shocked by the prospect – after all, 2011 is already the biggest year for movie sequels, so why not up the ante for 2012? We’re fairly certain these other five Best Picture nominees could be stretched into a second story, too!

With just hours to go before the Oscars launch, it's time to tackle the big question: who's going home with the Best Picture award?

In a field of ten nominees, it's seemingly once again down to two familiar competitors. Just as "The Hurt Locker" and "Avatar" raced neck-and-neck throughout the 2009 Academy Awards, tonight's show appears to be a similar throwdown between the popular favorite and the critical darling: "The Social Network" versus "The King's Speech."

But is the race really down to two? What of the other eight contenders? We've got some analysis after the jump, and make sure to cast YOUR vote for the Best Picture winner in our poll!

Let’s be honest: in this day and age, the idea of watching an entire 90-minute movie with uninterrupted concentration is almost inconceivable. Certainly not in a world where e-mail, commercials and, of course, Twitter completely rule our lives.

And it gets worse: this year's Oscar ceremony, airing on Sunday (February 27), has ten Best Picture nominees. Ten! It's hard enough to watch an entire movie on its own, and it's downright impossible to expect that you've seen all ten of the big contenders come Oscar night.

But as always, we have a solution. We're marrying our Twitter fixation with the Best Picture problem: we've seen every movie up for the award this year, and to bring you up to speed, we're reviewing each one of them Twitter style. After the jump, get our quick takes on all of the Best Picture nominees — in 140 characters or less, of course!

Melissa LeoBest Supporting Actress. It's a category that's notorious for being a wild card race and now one of its nominees has become just that -- a wild card.

Melissa Leo, who has all but swept the awards season thus far (including victories at the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the Critics Choice Awards) for her work in "The Fighter," has quite possibly gone from front-runner to question mark with a self-promoted campaign.

Late last week, Leo released two Hollywood trade ads on her own (sources say "The Fighter's" distributors Paramount and Relativity had no idea about the move), one in which she wears a black, sequined gown, in the other a large, white faux-fur coat. Both ads simply read, "Consider..."
