San Diego Comic-ConLike a bad penny, our links of the day always show up, this time with news on Dennis Hopper, Jennifer Esposito, and Indiana Jones.

The good news is that MTV has exclusive news of Kevin Costner's return to the same director's chair that gave us "Dances With Wolves" and "Open Range." The bad news? He won't tell us anything about it. "Yeah," he said when we asked him about his directing future. "I'd like to do another cowboy movie."

As we get to the bottom of that mystery, we can give you more specific details on "Swing Vote," the political flick that Costner begins filming this summer. "I'm financing, myself, a comedy out in New Mexico," the former Crash Davis/Eliot Ness/Ray Kinsella said of his passion project. "It's called 'Swing Vote,' and it has to do with the [presidential] election. It's a Capra-esque comedy...it kind of reduces itself to [my character casting the deciding vote], that's how you get your comedic premise. But how you get there is what makes the movie interesting to me; how it orchestrates itself."

The number one item on my own personal agenda, however, was getting the durable star to weigh in on "Capone Rising", the soon-to-film prequel to "The Untouchables," the 1987 film that made Costner a star. "I don't know what to think," he said with a smile. "I haven't thought too much about it. I know Art Linson's a careful producer, so he'll want it to be [quality]. It'll have to pass a certain test to get by him. We'll see what becomes of it."
