Jason BatemanThey teamed together on "The Break-Up" and "Couples Retreat," but Jason Bateman and Vince Vaughn's latest reunion could truly test their friendship.

Deadline reports that Bateman is in early talks with Universal Pictures to co-star alongside Vaughn in "Insane Laws," a new movie about two longtime best friends whose relationship is strained when their kids go off to college together and fall in love. Things get even hairier when the daughter of Vaughn's character gets pregnant. No official deal is in place just yet, but the two reportedly participated in a read-through of the material, and production could start as early as this fall.

You can say a lot of things about the Sundance Film Festival, but nobody will ever claim that it doesn't have its moments of surrealism. We’ve all been burned by straight-to-DVD premieres promising big floating heads of familiar faces, edgy subject matter and an intriguing plot (Damn you, “Search & Destroy”!). Now, a new movie featuring cover box art of Cillian Murphy, Susan Sarandon and Ellen Page has hit video shelves with a truly shocking twist: It’s actually good.

Josh LucasAlmost fifty years ago, a young woman named Marion pulled off a main road in California during a rainy evening and found herself at the Bates Motel. Shortly thereafter, while taking a shower, she was brutally stabbed by a knife-wielding maniac who turns out to be the motel’s owner, Norman. Toward the end of Hitchcock’s masterful “Psycho,” we learn that Norman Bates suffers from multiple personality disorder, in which both he and his mother reside within his damaged psyche.

Later this year, another psychological thriller will hit theaters, and according to one of its stars, “Peacock” may well remind audiences of Hitchcock's 1960 black-and-white mind-bender.

“['Peacock' is] what would happen if Bates had basically stayed alive and married himself,’” Josh Lucas told MTV News during a recent interview to promote his Tribeca Film Festival entry, “Tell Tale.” “It’s fascinating.” Read More...
