Sometimes, the two best words in the English language are the simplest ones: "Thank" and "You."
Now that Comic-Con 2008 is in the rearview mirror, one memory will remain for quite some time: The resounding gratitude "Twilight" fans showed to Stephenie Meyer, Catherine Hardwicke and the actors hard at work on making a film of the beloved, dog-eared tome Twilighters carry with them as if it were photos of their loved ones.
Now, the stars would like to return the favor. Just hit "play" to get a little taste of Cam Gigandet, Catherine, Stephenie and Robert Pattinson saying "thank you" to the Twilighters.
So pat yourself on the back, keep watching for more Twilight Tuesdays, and then get ready for the movie hitting theaters December 12th. By then, there should be so much shared love going around that it’ll make Edward and Bella’s romance pale in comparison.
So, in case you haven't heard, Thursday's "Twilight" panel at Comic-Con was a huge honkin' success. And just moments before Stephenie Meyer, Kristen Stewart and all the rest went on stage, I got together with the stars in a private room upstairs to interview people like Robert Pattinson But since Hall H was the hardest ticket at Comic-Con to obtain, you might be wondering how I was able to get from one place to another in mere moments.
The answer is simple: "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure."
Do you remember that classic scene where Pee-Wee is trying to get onto the Warner Bros. lot to get his bicycle back? As he's trying to figure out a plan to get past security, he sees the immortal Milton Berle walking towards the gate with a huge entourage. After a moment of inspiration, he jumps into the small group and pretends to laugh at Berle's jokes while they all walk on in together. Instant access. Read more...
The fans of “Twilight” are usually known as nice, affable people who post enthusiastically, but don’t talk a lot of trash. Now, it’s time for all that to change.

Only 10 more days (and one more "Twilight" Tuesday!) until the release of “Breaking Dawn,” gang. And while most of you will be standing in massive lines at your local bookstore and participating in sure-to-be heated debates over Edward vs. Jacob, some lucky Twilighters will find themselves at the very epicenter of the fan frenzy that evening: New York’s launch of Stephenie Meyer’s book tour.
A few weeks back, MTV News announced that Meyer and Blue October frontman Justin Furstenfeld will be joining forces for a groundbreaking series of events combining her prose, his tunes, and the fan enthusiasm for both. Today, in addition to the brand-new Nikki Reed interview that just went live over on MTV.com, we’re offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak directly to the "Twilight" mastermind herself. First MTV, then "Entertainment Weekly," and now the hallowed newspaper of record? It's official: The world has caught on to a secret Twilighters have known for years.
Still, it's hard to not be surprised when you open up the 150-year-old New York Times and see an article about Stephenie Meyer's 21st-century pop culture juggernaut. The Gray Lady, it seems, is trying to get hip.
In the interest of saving you 75 cents, here's the link to the column, written by Gail Collins and entitled "Virginal Goth Girl."
"Every so often, I discover that the whole world seems obsessed with a pop-culture phenomenon that I've missed out on completely," she writes. Read more...

Here's the deal: I've seen the clip. Just the other day, I showed it to Stephenie Meyer herself when she stopped in the office to record her intro for Sunday. And we both agreed: It is chock freakin' full of "OME!" moments to behold. Read more...
While most people will always remember where they were the moment that Kennedy was assassinated or the O.J. verdict came down, Twilighters can never forget a third event: Where they were when they bought their first Stephenie Meyer novel.
Somehow, the literary phenomenon had escaped me. Much like Pinkberry or Kelis' "Milkshake" song, "Twilight" managed to capture the hearts and minds of millions while I was obliviously living a life without it. Then in January I interviewed Miss Kristen Stewart at Sundance as part of my job, and much like any day at the "office," we discussed upcoming projects she was excited about. MTV News ran a brief item on her remarks, and it broke the Movies Blog record for reader comments! Read more...
The following is a message to the fans of "Twilight" from our colleague, Sabrina.
Dear Twilighters,
Like many of us here at MTV News, I've been alternately amused and baffled by the amount of attention all things "Twilight" have received since we first started covering the making of the movie. I've never been a hard-core fanatic of anything, not since I was a teenager, anyway. I read only the first third of the first "Harry Potter," loved "Lord of the Rings" but didn't go crazy over the movies, could take or leave most other novel series.
But something about your enthusiasm over the "Twilight" books got me curious. Maybe it's the way you are always so grateful for coverage (and adoring of our own Larry Carroll). Maybe it was the way the discussion is always more about how the characters relate to each other than about details of mythology or costumes (not that those haven't happened too). Anyway, after editing many of these articles, and reading many of your comments, it got the better of me. Read more...
Earlier this week on our channel, we announced the official beginning of "Twilight Tuesdays," our special designated day on which we'll be rolling out the hottest and most exclusive "Twilight" news from now until the film's December 12 release. While much of the segment simply points to the content already online, many of you have asked to watch this video that aired on MTV. Well, we listen, so check it out below, and then click here to see nearly everything else we've done so far.
In the Stephenie Meyer novel "Twilight," many scenes compete for the most romantic moment, but many agree that the winner is when Edward Cullen sits down at a piano and plays a heartfelt song written for his love Bella.
With the film version on its way, an army of fans have been lobbying Meyer and director Catherine Hardwicke on the songs they think should be used as "Bella's Lullaby." Now, we finally have an answer – and as life imitates art, it should get Twilighters squealing in anticipation.
"Yes, it does exist in the movie," Kristen Stewart told me while I was interviewing her and Robert for the article that just went live here, on the topic of "Bella's Lullaby." "And cutely enough, Rob is writing it on the piano as we speak." Read more...
