After weeks of speculation, we finally know what Arnold Schwarzenegger's first entertainment endeavor post-governorship is going to be — and it was staring us in the face all along.
No, it's not a new "Terminator" flick, nor is it a role in the "Avatar" sequel. Instead, Schwarzenegger is keeping his political status firmly intact, with a twist: he is indeed "The Governator," his new comic book and animated superhero co-created by legendary Marvel Comics mastermind Stan Lee.
The character isn't just based on Arnold, he is Arnold: after leaving office, Schwarzenegger becomes a crime-fighter based out of his high-tech "Arnold Cave" hidden beneath his Brentwood home, where he designs strategies to take out the menacing Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-Cons, better known by the acronym — wait for it — "G.I.R.L.I.E. Men."

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to delve back into the wild world of Hollywood, speculation has risen as to what his first project will be.
The latest we heard was that it would be a television series, which is a bit surprising since he is such a major movie star. But now Deadline has the news that the mystery series might actually be animated. They speculate that comic book guru Stan Lee might even be a major collaborator. The plot thickens!
After the jump, find out which actress is headed to "Rock of Ages," who will be directing Ben Mezrich's latest and which Wes Anderson regular is joining "Moonrise Kingdom."

FROM SPLASH PAGE: Last week, I talked to one of comics greatest living legends, Stan Lee, about his arrival on the Twitter scene and why it makes him feel like he's writing his "Stan's Soapbox" column again. While Lee had some fun stuff to say about the world of micro-blogging, I also had to ask him about a few other things on comics fans' minds these days — namely, whether he'll be making the expected cameos in future Marvel movies.
"I had lunch with Branagh, [who's] the nicest guy in the world as well as the most talented," Lee told MTV News when asked if he's been contacted about a "Thor" cameo yet. "Months ago, when he was first starting on the movie, he said he would get a cameo for me."

FROM SPLASH PAGE: It's no secret that many creators in and around the comics scene have embraced Twitter these days—and many of them make regular appearances in our daily Twitter Report. Perhaps one of the most surprising creators with a regular presence in the Twitterverse, however, is one of the industry's most beloved icons: Stan Lee.
The co-creator of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, the X-Men and countless other popular characters, the 86-year-old Lee has taken to Twitter with surprising ease. A typical 24 hours with @SmilinStanLee offers readers a host of witty observations, tongue-in-cheek commentary and self-deprecating humor that reveals why Stan "The Man" Lee is one of comics' living legends.
I spoke with Lee about his arrival on the Twitter scene, why he's taken to the microblogging tool so easily, and why communicating with fans on Twitter actually has him feeling like he's gone back in time.
"I heard that some of the people I like are Twittering—like Kevin Smith—and I figured there must be something to it," said Lee when asked how he was first introduced to Twitter's 140-character world.

FROM SPLASH PAGE: When we spoke to Stan Lee during this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego, the conversation naturally turned to his cameos in the Marvel movies. One of the industry's living legends, Lee has proudly appeared in just about every movie featuring Marvel characters that's hit the screen.
While Lee wasn't certain he could talk about the cameo at the time, the news appears to have hit the 'Net this weekend—so we're thrilled to finally be able to show this portion of our interview with Stan "The Man" Lee. Excelsior!
"For some reason, they wanted me to wear suspenders and heavy glasses, and they treated me as though I was Larry King," Lee told MTV News of the character he'll play in "Iron Man 2." "So I finally, for the first time in my life, felt like I was a celebrity."

FROM SPLASH PAGE: Last month, Michael Jackson's death prompted a recollection of how close he and Stan Lee came to buying Marvel Comics. The piece received quite a bit of attention, so when I had the chance to talk with Lee during this year's Comic-Con in San Diego, I had to ask the legendary co-creator of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Hulk and countless other comic book superheroes about his professional and personal relationship with the King of Pop.
While Lee had kind words for the recently deceased pop culture icon, his mention of Jackson's interest in another of Lee's famous co-creations perked up my ears. In the grand tradition of Marvel Comics' famous series, Lee's response offered up a "What If?" tale involving Jackson and Spider-Man tailor-made for an alternate Marvel universe.
