'Up'After last week's jam-packed release schedule led by "G.I. Joe," we're given an opportunity to breath today with only two new theatrical titles coming to market, along with an assortment of action-filled catalog offerings making their way to Blu-ray. This is your DVD Report for Tuesday, November 9.

Disney's Pixar was flying high after the critically and commercially acclaimed "Wall-E," so naturally they looked to the skies for their next animated outing, "Up." The film focuses on Carl Fredricksen, an elderly shut-in who aims to pay homage to his late wife by relocating to the top of a South American paradise the couple had always dreamed of visiting. Equipping his home with hundreds of helium balloons, the house lifts off its foundation and floats away, inadvertently taking with it a young wilderness scout who grows attached to the grumpy septuagenarian at the start of a grand adventure. See what I did up there? With the "New Moon" trailer? All due respect to "Bandslam," the release this week which will exclusively feature the latest trailer from the next adaptation in the "Twilight" series, but we've got a little bit of a "Meet Joe Black" situation going on here. For those who don't remember: "Meet Joe Black" hit theaters in 1998 along with the very first trailer for "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace." People went nuts over it, with many freely admitting that they bought their ticket just for the trailer.

Granted, this is the second "New Moon" trailer. And according to all reports, "Bandslam" is a far better movie than "Meet Joe Black" was. But Twilighters rival "Star Wars" fans with their fervor. Before we dive in with the rest of the week's releases, why not take one more peek at that first "New Moon" trailer?

Mickey RourkeDive in, because I've got behind-the-scenes commentary from Jon Favreau, Ashton Kutcher, and Jeremy Piven in today's handpicked crop of Twitter-Wood tweets. Favreau offers some praise up for Mickey Rourke's work thus far in "Iron Man 2," and Kutcher shares his thoughts on the foreign dubbing process for his new film "Spread," while Piven points out the common links between his new movie "The Goods" and this summer's box office success story "The Hangover."

I also rounded up a few thoughts from film folks about yet another entertainment industry death, comedian and impersonator, Fred Travelena, as well as Bernard Madoff's sentencing today, and Denzel Washington's latest post about Michael Jackson. You find all of these, a picture taken by "Buffy" actress Amber Benson at one of my local Chicago comic book shops, and much more in the Twitter-Wood update for June 29, 2009, after the click. 'Spread'FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Take a refreshing dip with Ashton Kutcher before his romantic comedy “Spread” premieres on August 14 by oohing and ahhing at the movie poster below. In the flick, which made its debut at Sundance, the king of Twitter stars as a Hollywood playboy who uses his charm (see also: good looks) to woo rich cougars — like co-star Anne Heche — into his life so that he can freeload off of them.

That's right, it's yet another addition to our (quite-huge) MTV Sundance Photo Gallery, and it's actress Anne out to premiere her indie pic "Spread." Click here to see the entire Photo Booth gallery, featuring photos by Jeff Daniels, Kristen Stewart, Spike Lee and dozens of others.

Al Pacino- I've heard, I've understood, but I flat out refuse to acknowledge that Al Pacino could be the main villain in "Quantum of Solace." (AICN)

- Snakes! Why does it always have to be snakes? Three more pictures from "Crystal Skull" pop up online. (l'Espresso)

- One hit is never enough: Redband trailer for "Pineapple Express" is an insta-classic. (/film)

- "Archangel, Archangel (Won't you be mine?)" Paul Bettany joins "Legion" as Michael, the Sword of God (and mankind's last hope). (Variety)

- Jennifer Jason Leigh to "Spread" 'em with Aston Kutcher as pair join indie-sex comedy. (Variety)

- Sam Worthington to play Marcus in "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins." (Variety)

- Sadness, as Steve Gerber, the creator of "Howard the Duck" and numerous other comics/cartoons, passes away at age 60. (Newsarama)
