Contributed by Wil Wheaton
You may know Wil Wheaton as Gordie in "Stand By Me," or perhaps you know him as Wesley Crusher from "Star Trek: The Next Generation." We however, know him as a nerd god, who's a walking encyclopedia of "Trek" and "Watchmen" knowledge. That's why we invited him to the taping of our new movie show "Spoilers" (airing this Saturday at 8pm EST!), to see "Watchmen" and "Trek" footage. You can read Wil Wheaton's thoughts on "Watchmen" here, and "Trek" below.
It was all stuff that I've seen already, but it looked cool and everyone in the theater loved it. You know, a lot of my fellow Trekkies are all worked up because the trailer shows all this action stuff, and I keep hearing people dismissively calling it "Star Trek: 90210” just because there are young people in it or something. I really hope those guys can take a step back and realize a couple of things: these trailers and previews aren't aimed at us; they're aimed at teenagers, so they have to be presented in a language that they understand. Just a few days before the taping of "Spoilers" (airing this Saturday at 8pm EST) we decided that we wanted a "Star Trek" expert to weigh in on a few shots we'd be showing in our exclusive featurette. I emailed our senior online producer, Brian, a huge "Trek" fan, to see if he could think of any LA-based experts to invite on the show. He immediately suggested "Stand By Me" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" star Wil Wheaton, easily one of the biggest, most high-profile “Trek” fans around (famously the only “TNG” castmember who was a fan of the franchise going into it).
Brian made some calls and a few hours later, emailed me with the excellent news that Wil was totally into the idea and would love to attend the taping. As a Trekker and an avowed comics fan who believes “Watchmen” changed his life, he was the perfect addition to the “Spoilers” family. Read more...
It was all smiles yesterday evening in Hollywood where director Zack Snyder and his "Watchmen" cast were gracing the MTV News screening of "Watchmen" for our new episode of "Spoilers," airing this Saturday at 8PM EST.
Hundreds of lucky films were treated to a viewing of the full movie, with Zack Snyder taking the stage afterward for a Q&A. You can watch some of that fun in the video below and read about it here, but you'll have to tune in Saturday to see more of the antics including exclusive interviews with the entire cast of "Watchmen," in addition to first looks at "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Star Trek," "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and more.
Last year, we told you that an extra scene was being added to the sixth "Harry Potter" movie. Now we're going to bring you more details straight from the set of the film.
It's all part of "Spoilers," our quarterly movie show airing this Saturday at 8pm EST. Along with first looks at "Watchmen," "Star Trek," "Land of the Lost" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," we'll be bringing you an exclusive visit to the U.K. set of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

So tune in to hear from director David Yates along with the "Potter" holy trinity: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, all of whom spoke to us about the film's much darker themes. What a sneak peek? Read more...
The months ahead are filled with budding blockbusters, but why wait until then? That's right folks, this Saturday at 8pm EST we'll be airing the second episode of our quarterly movie show "Spoilers."
For the lucky select few in the Los Angeles area able to attend our taping, they'll be watching "Watchmen" along with the entire cast and director Zack Snyder, who will also participate in a Q&A following the screening. But fear not, non-LA'ers, tune in on Saturday to catch the highlights along with exclusive first looks at "Star Trek" (with live guest commentary by Wil Wheaton), "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Land of the Lost" and more (including a never before seen "Watchmen" clip, of course).
It'll be one hell of a show. Click here to read more about our second "Spoilers" episode, and remember to tune in this Saturday at 8pm EST!
We’ve all spent the last few months, the last few years -- hell, the last few decades -- counting down to a “Watchmen” movie. More often than not, it seemed like a dream to simply hope that one would ever hit theaters. Well, now MTV News is going to make some people’s dreams come true a few weeks early.
Remember that huge, crazy “Twilight” bash we held a few months ago, the one we called “Spoilers”? Well, the good news is that it was a huge success, and “Spoilers” is coming back later this month with an edition focusing on “Watchmen” and several other upcoming movies.
And if you’re a die-hard fan of Rorschach, Silk Spectre, Dr. Manhattan and the others, we want you in the audience that will meet the cast and see the film some three weeks before its March 6th release.

It's the moment that saves Bella's life - well, for the first time, anyway. It's the pivotal event that forces Edward (Rob "OME" Pattinson) to reveal his true self to his love (Kristen Stewart). It's the world-famous "Tyler Crowley's Runaway Van" scene, and now it can finally be seen for the first time in its (almost) entirety - here at MTV courtesy of our new movie show "Spoilers."
For those of you who haven't read the book (and you'd better hurry, because "Twilight" is only 7 days away!), Tyler (Gregory Tyree Boyce) is the Forks, Washington equivalent of Billy Joel behind the wheel. In this scene, Bella makes eye-contact with the mysterious Cullen clan (including Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Kellan Lutz as Emmett and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper), clearly noticing that they're on the opposite side of the Forks High School parking lot. Moments later, a ton of out-of-control steel comes hurtling towards her. (Watch the scene after the jump!) Read more...
What do you get when you toss a little "How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days?" with a dash of "The Devil Wears Prada"? If you just responded with a rousing scream of "something awesome!" then we've got just the exclusive for you. Yes, two of the powerhouse ladies of romantic comedies today have joined forces for "Bride Wars," opening January 9th. If Sandra Bullock were in it too I would have said it's like an "Ocean's Eleven" for chick flicks but alas...
Check out Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway get mean right here (and don't deprive yourself of all our Spoilers from "Twilight" and "Watchmen" here).
Part of me loves that 20th Century Fox has been sneaking all this footage of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" early and often. Then there's part of me is hoping there will be something cool left to check out on December 12th when it opens. I'm going to ignore that second part of me and revel then in this brand new trailer we're debuting exclusively. Won't you join me? It's got more Gort and more action! What more can you ask for?!? Check it out below or click here for a larger version.
