Angelina JolieFROM SPLASH PAGE: Just when you thought it was dead -- or at least a long ways away -- the long-awaited "Sin City 2” has reared its ugly head. But if you believe this latest rumor, the rough-and-gruff tough-guy ensemble is about to get a whole lot prettier.

Clint Morris at Moviehole reports that "Wanted" star Angelina Jolie is in "serious talks" to star in "Sin City 2." Morris says, according to a "high-profile producer friend," that the filmmakers are actively trying to get the actress to commit to the "Sin City" sequel.

Rosario DawsonFROM SPLASH PAGE: Not even a month after “Sin City” star Michael Clarke Duncan told us he hadn’t heard a peep about "Sin City 2", the plot thickens. Now, Rosario Dawson, the straight-talking star who once strapped herself into black leather to play the role of gang gal Gail says that she’s leaving room open on her 2009 calendar for the long-awaited sequel.

“Yeah, I talked to Robert [Rodriguez] and Frank [Miller],” she said of a recent conversation with the director and writer who joined forces with Quentin Tarantino for the hit 2005 film. “They actually just finished the script for ‘Sin City 2’ a few months ago.”

Michael Clarke Duncan in 'Sin City'FROM SPLASH PAGE: In the grand scheme of movie news, it might take a backseat only to the “Arrested Development" movie. But other than that long-in-development translation, it’s hard to think of a more-anticipated great white whale than “Sin City 2.”

We’ve been harassing everyone from Mickey Rourke and Frank Miller to Robert Rodriguez and Alexis Bledel about the possible sequel, and even asked Angelina Jolie -- and she wasn’t even in the first film.

So, if for no other reason than to complete our collection, I figured I’d better ask the larger-than-my-house Michael Clarke. In real life, you’d be hard-pressed to find a nicer guy -- and the “Street Fighter” star was more than happy to add his name to the list of actors who’d love to return to the black, white and red world of the 2005 flick.

Robert RodriguezFROM SPLASH PAGE: Robert Rodriguez is getting ready for the biggest production of his career, an epic shoot that would last a year and a half. To make room in his schedule, he's pushed back, shifted, moved, or otherwise abandoned nearly every other film on his slate. He's geeked out like he's never been geeked out before - and for this man, that's actually saying something.

Something, but not really anything. Cause good luck getting him to tell you what it is.

And, oh yeah, it's not "Sin City 2," "Barbarella," or "Conan." Read more...

No doubt about it, Angelina Jolie is a dame to kill for, but could she literally be "A Dame to Kill For"? For over two years, the principal talent behind "Sin City" have been subtlety (and sometimes not so subtlety) dropping hints that they’d like Jolie for the title role of Ava Lord, the manipulative, conniving, fatally gorgeous force at the center of director Robert Rodriquez and Frank Miller's "Sin City 2."

In an interview two-years ago, actress Rosario Dawson even said that filming was being rescheduled to accommodate Jolie's pregnancy.

So is Angelina going to be in "Sin City 2"? Read More...
