PottermoreYou've heard about our Harry Potter World Cup tournament by now, right? (If not, go acquaint yourself with the bracket immediately!) As if announcing the competition wasn't exciting enough on its own, turns out there's some other big "Potter" news lurking about the blogosphere today.

"Potter" author J.K. Rowling has created Pottermore, a secret new website teasing a special announcement from the writer hitting in just a little less than a week. The title certainly implies that we're on the cusp of seeing "more 'Potter,'" but Entertainment Weekly reveals that the announcement is "not a new book." But a new movie, perhaps? Lost-- Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse won't explain the ending of "Lost" after it airs. Lindelof says: "We're going to be as definitive as we can be and say this is our ending, but there's no way to end the show where the fans aren't going to say, 'What did they mean by this?' Antonio BanderasSalvador Dali is enjoying a renaissance of interest, at least in Hollywood. There's three Dali biopics floating currently floating around in various stages of completion. The one getting the most buzz right now is "Little Ashes," which stars "Twilight" hottie Robert Pattinson as the young artist. Al Pacino is attached to play the painter in "Dali & I: The Surreal Story."

And now Dali may finally get an actor who hails from his home country of Spain, because according to Variety, Antonio Banderas wants a turn, and is in talks to play the painter in "Dali." That's less of a shocker than the director, who is none other than Simon West, more famous for action movies like "Con Air" and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" than indie biopics. Read More...
