Simon Pegg Hates 'Star Wars: The Phantom Menace'

I enjoy "The Phantom Menace." I know I'm in a small club of people who don't think the first entry in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy is wholesale trash. And I know it's an unpopular group to be a part of, but I stand by my membership. Sure, the first two hours are pretty much garbage, but then you get duel of the fates! Darth Maul with a double-edged lightsaber! It's so wonderful!

But Simon Pegg disagrees. He thinks there's nothing whatsoever to enjoy about "Phantom Menace." In the latest episode of After Hours, he does his best Red Letter Media impression and tears the 1999 "Star Wars" movie to shreds in a quick two-minute assault. It's hard to disagree with him on any of his points, really. But no amount of sense or logic will ever convince me that duel of the fates isn't awesome.

Ethan Hunt and the IMF are back and bigger than ever in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol." For the fourth go around, Tom Cruise makes the jump to IMAX screens and makes it worth while. If you do go see "Ghost Protocol," be sure to seek out IMAX showings. It's the way the film was meant to be seen.

Here are five more reasons why you should initiate "Ghost Protocol" this week.

'Transformers' Stars Reunite, Tease Jason Statham?

There may or may not be more "Transformers" movies in Michael Bay's future, but for now, the stars who previously battled the robots in disguise are still getting along. "Transformers" actors Tyrese Gibson and Ken Jeong reunited over the weekend, and perhaps there's more than meets the eye to their mention of "JS" -- Jason Statham, perhaps? Your guess is as good as ours!

Meanwhile, "Harry Potter" and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" bad boy Tom Felton conquered Table Mountain over the weekend, Rainn Wilson made a shocking confession about his bathroom behavior and Christopher Mintz-Plasse may have stumbled upon his own secret Spider-Man origin.

'Mission: Impossible' Clips: Jeremy Renner Conquers His Fears

Tom Cruise is on the run, and we've got a brand new look courtesy of two just released clips from the upcoming fourth movie in the "Mission: Impossible" series, "Ghost Protocol."

This time around Jeremy Renner plays Brandt, a team member who may be more than he lets on. In the two clips here, Brandt goes over mission logistics with Benji Dunn, as played by Simon Pegg. It is Brandt's job to infiltrate a computer, but the problem is there is some heat and a bit of a drop, 25 feet, and Brandt's not happy to hear about it.

The latest -- and most insightful -- "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" trailer hit the web courtesy of Yahoo! Trailers. And, for those of us who are excited for this movie for its whole cast instead of just Tom Cruise's continued participation, this teaser also gives the best look at the IMF team yet. It looks like they're going to have some interesting chemistry.

EXCLUSIVE 'Paul' Behind-The-Scenes Featurette Shows Seth Rogen's Floating Head

Ever wonder how loveable funny guy Seth Rogen was transformed into a big-headed, small green alien in this year's "Paul"? Well, thanks to this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip MTV News has from the "Paul" DVD, you can find out (the disc, the Blu-ray and the On Demand film arrive August 9th).

Stars and co-writers Nick Frost and Simon Pegg explain the footage shown in the video, which feature samples of an early edit where the character Paul was just Rogen's floating head from his separate rehearsals. It was a way for the crew to get a sense of Rogen's role in the movie, even though he wasn't acting it out.

"Seth is the character, so they've shot him in rehearsal with various angles, with the other actors, but we've just got to put him into the scenes," explained editor Chris Dickens. "Essentially, I've just used the rehearsal and I've just put him in a little box."

New 'Fright Night' Trailer Digs Teeth Into This Week's Horror Bites

Hardcore "Fright Night" fans have had mixed reactions since the new trailer for the vampire remake debuted earlier this year. The horror comedy's original cast has some big shoes to fill – especially where the roles of fanged fiend Jerry Dandridge and vampire killer extraordinaire Peter Vincent are concerned. DreamWorks' new international trailer has arrived and gives us a better look at some of our principal players – namely Charlie's (Anton Yelchin) idol and partner in staking, the new Peter Vincent ("Dr. Who's" David Tennant) who is now a Las Vegas magician instead of a horror TV host.

The trailer also delivers more on the horror front – opening like a snarky comedy before it digs into the dark stuff. Colin Farrell seems to fit the bill as the sexy and scary vamp that retaliates against Charlie for being a nosy neighbor. When the high schooler and his horror-obsessed pal Evil Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) start to spy on the undead activity happening next door, Jerry goes after Charlie's family (Toni Collette), his girlfriend (Imogen Poots), and eventually the teenager himself.

'G.I. Joe 2' Enlists 'Jurassic Park' Star Joe Mazzello

And the casting for "G.I. Joe 2" carries on.

The latest actor to join Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki and Ray Stevenson is "Jurassic Park" lead Joe Mazzello. He will be playing Mouse, a role that Deadline is reporting was a hot part that many young Hollywood actors were vying for. We're psyched to see Mazzello, who's come a long way since being terrorized by T-Rexes, land the gig!

In the casting news after the jump, "Dark Shadows" cameos abound in Tim Burton's feature and an "Arrested" actor has saved "We Are The Millers."

Ashton Kutcher In 'Two And A Half Men' And 'Bridesmaids' Hits Theaters In Today's Twitter-Wood

It's official: Ashton Kutcher is replacing Charlie Sheen on "Two and a Half Men." The "That '70s Show" actor teased his involvement late last night on Twitter, which prompted a flurry of cheers and jeers from several of his Hollywood peers. Winning? We'll see.

Speaking of winning, "Bridesmaids" hits theaters this weekend, and people are rightfully excited to see the Kristen Wiig-starring comedy. Reviews have been glowing and praise from celebs in the Twitter-Wood community continues to flow.

'Thor' Soars, 'The Beaver' Bombs And Mother's Day Celebration In Today's Twitter-Wood

"Thor" brought all of its signature lightning to bear upon moviegoers this weekend, lighting up the box office with an impressive $66 million debut. Though some had their issues with Marvel's latest superhero release, many of the actors and writers lurking about Twitter-Wood expressed their overall satisfaction with the Asgardian adventure.

While it was "Thor" that dominated the box office, Mother's Day took plenty of deserved attention for itself. Several Hollywood players were celebrating the holiday for themselves, while others offered some dirty (but good-natured) jokes instead of well-wishes.

Plus, who didn't much care for "The Beaver"? The answer to that and more rests past the jump.
