Soon, very soon now, fans will get to see exactly what an Oliver Stone sequel looks like. The original hit theaters in 1987, earning Michael Douglas a Best Actor Oscar for his performance as shark Gordon Gekko. In the original, the morally bankrupt Gekko coaches young newcomer Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) as he enters the fast-paced world of stock trading.

Gekko finds some redemption in the coming sequel, "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps," when he links up with another young trader -- Jacob Moore (Shia LaBeouf) -- on the eve of a catastrophic financial crisis. It's not so unusual, to turn a one-time villain into a redemptive figure (see also: "Terminator 2: Judgment Day"). He'll even have a daughter in this outing, Winnie Gekko, played by Carey Mulligan. Summer blockbuster "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is out on Blu-ray and DVD today. The discs are loaded with extras, as you'll find out later in Brian Jacks' DVD Report. You can get a sneak peek though. In the clip below, an exclusive glimpse at the bonus content, star Shia LaBeouf talks about the experience of his second go-round with "Transformers" and the joy of watching newcomer Ramon Rodriguez go through the same things he did.

It's still sort of amazing to me that a "Wall Street" sequel is happening. Not just happening, but being helmed by the original's director, Oliver Stone. It just seems... off.

No matter though. It's happening. And Gordon Gekko, Michael Douglas's iconic shark, is back. In "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps," he's teaming with Jacob Moore (Shia LaBeouf) to warn the finance industry of the coming economic crisis... and solve a murder mystery! Sounds awesome. Hit the jump for an on-set glimpse of Douglas and LaBeouf and Gekko and Moore. Read more...

Okay, look. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" wasn't great. It's been out for more than a year, so let's be honest here. It had some good moments, but the shift from supernatural curios and relics to sci-fi alien overlords was not the right move. Star Harrison Ford clearly has some more Indy in him and Shia LaBeouf did a decent job of not fumbling the torch that Ford supposedly passed his way.

All that said, "Crystal Skull" fell short for a variety of reasons. Some might even argue that it's time to put Steven Spielberg's classic series to bed. Not me though. Indy is a great character, Ford is still an immensely likable actor and there are plenty of archeological ghost stories for him to pursue that have nothing to do with aliens. I'm not the only one who thinks so either. Read more...

-- "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" star Channing Tatum has joined the cast of Roman epic "Eagle of the Ninth," along with Jamie Bell, Donald Sutherland and "Sherlock Holmes" star Mark Strong. Tatum will star as Marcus Aquila, sent by Rome to Britain to figure out what happened to the missing Ninth Legion. (The Hollywood Reporter)

-- Even though Vin Diesel and director Rob Cohen were going to re-team for "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," Cohen has since taken on other projects and the extreme sports super-spy simply can't fit into his schedule. Diesel will instead receive direction from "Invincible" helmer Ericson Core. (The Hollywood Reporter) Read more...

FROM MTV.COM: Some played with the action figures when they were children; others remember the cartoon show. Some were there to see Megan Fox on the big-screen; others were there for Shia LaBeouf. The one thing everyone on the red carpet for Monday's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" premiere seemed to share, however, was a love of all things big, noisy and — in the immortal words of Michael Bay — awesome.

"We made history in this movie with a scene that involved the biggest explosion scene with actors in it," marveled series star Tyrese, who joked that the hairs on the back of his neck still haven't grown back. "It was this huge explosion."

FROM MTV.COM: Do you spend your evenings sleeping under Bumblebee bedsheets? Have you ever gone into a drive-thru wearing an Optimus Prime mask? Well, it might finally be time for some new toys.

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" storms into theaters June 24, bringing with it a slew of brand-new robots in disguise. Recently, we caught up with the human stars of the movie — and got the scoop on their favorite freewheeling co-stars.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal SkullEarlier this week, Shia LaBeouf revealed that "Indiana Jones" creator Steven Spielberg has "cracked the story" on the next "Indiana Jones" movie. That's hardly the confirmation that fans might be hoping for, but none of us have any reason to believe that the "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" star would lie.

Still, it's always good to hear from other folks surrounding a project during these early, pre-production stages. Or not I suppose, if you didn't care for "Crystal Skull." Regardless of how you feel, there's additional word on "Indy 5," this time from producer Frank Marshall. Read more...

Shia LaBeoufShia LaBeouf sat down with the BBC recently to promote next week's Michael Bay blockbuster "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The actor had some enlightening things to say about the giant robot spectacle. There was one comment in particular that kneejerk detractors of shallow action films should definitely take heed of: "This is escapism. This is a fun movie." (emphasis his) Damn straight, Shia. Damn straight.

The actor also had something to share about the next "Indiana Jones" movie. As you may remember, LaBeouf starred opposite Harrison Ford in 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The short version: it's happening. Want to know more? Keep reading. Read more...

TyreseOver the course of an unlikely career, he’s been a fashion model, a rapper and the star of one of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster franchises. Now, Tyrese is transforming once again -– and he’s recording a song for the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” soundtrack alongside a Grammy-nominated hitmaker.

“Me and Jewel, we finished the record, and we sent it over to all of the right folks,” the “Transformers” star told us of the track, called “Make it Last,” that he hopes to get onto the soundtrack of the June 24th film. “I don’t know if it’s going to make the soundtrack, but it should still be a part of the score of the film.” Read more...
