All week long, we’ve been giving you an exclusive look at the new “A-Team,” featuring peeks at B.A. Baracus, “Howlin’ Mad” Murdock, the villainous Lynch, Face-Man and Hannibal. Now, we bid adieu to the crack commando unit with the main new character of the bunch: Sexy Jessica Biel as Lieutenant Sosa.

“Jessie, she's a captain with DCIS, which is the Defense Criminal Investigative Service,” director Joe Carnahan explained of the new character, who shares an uncomfortable dating history with Bradley Cooper’s Face. “They’re basically the department of the defense, and she supersedes [military officials] - if she goes on a base, it doesn't matter if you’re a general, she can supplant you.” Read more...

Yesterday, “A-Team” week kicked off with our revealing look at the new B.A. Baracus. Now, with the movie crashing into theaters June 11th like B.A.’s van flying through the wall of a badguy’s warehouse headquarters, we take a look at the veteran mercenaries’ off-his-rocker copter captain: Sharlto Copley as “Howling Mad” Murdock.

“Sharlto's such a ridiculously-talented guy in so many ways,” sai Joe Carnahan, director of the new film, told us about the fast-rising actor who rose to notoriety last year with “District 9,” now an Oscar-nominated Best Picture contender. “Sharlto's a producer, he directed his own film, and he was a huge part of 'District 9' in a way that a lot of his stuff was improvisational.” Read more...

The upcoming “A-Team” movie is interesting because it's four stars enjoy different kinds of fame. You’ve got the respected veteran actor (Liam Neeson), the post-hype guy hoping to prove his recent blockbuster was no fluke (Bradley Cooper), the we-know-nothing-about-him-but-want-to-know-more up-and-comer (Sharlto Copley) and the non-actor whose fame was born outside of Hollywood, an “And introducing...” rookie whose career could take off (Quinton “Rampage” Jackson). Now, one of these guys might follow up the summer '10 TV adaptation by immediately re-teaming with director Joe Carnahan.

“There’s a thing I’m gonna do next called ‘The Grey, and I think there’s a very good chance that one of the members of this cast will do this film with me,” the “Smokin’ Aces” filmmaker revealed when we spoke to him recently about being one of our “10 to Watch in ‘10” selections. “We’ll be doing it soon.” Read more...

UPDATE: Surprise, surprise, the trailer was pulled. I hope you managed to get a taste. A shiny, new hi-def version will certainly be hitting the web sometime soon, so stay tuned.

I don't know about you readers, but as a child of the '80s, I can't wait to see "The A-Team" this summer. Goofy, over-the-top action doesn't scare me in the slightest. Just like last summer's "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," "The A-Team" sort of demands that kind of treatment.

The cast is certainly high-profile, even downright respected. The quartet of mercs will be played by Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley, Bradley Cooper and UFC champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, the relative newcomer of the bunch. We've seen very little of the movie so far -- just some set photos and press shots -- but that all changes today. A low-fi version of the trailer hit the Internet today, and you can check it out after the jump. Be warned though: if you want the full effect, you'd do better to hold off and wait until you can catch it in front of one of this weekend's new releases. Read more...

Last week, Jessica Biel revealed exclusively to MTV some of the first hard details about her character in director Joe Carnahan's big screen adaptation of "The A-Team." She'll play Carissa Sosa, a Department of Defense flunkie who has a romantic history with A-Team honcho Faceman (Bradley Cooper). Presuming the flick follows the action genre mold, Sosa will likely spend much of the movie pursuing Faceman and his pals until circumstances force them all to work together against a greater threat. Or something like that. Remember: this is pure speculation.

If facts are what you're looking for, there are some more to share on "The A-Team." Earlier this week, "Entertainment Tonight" reported from the set of the movie in a short video clip featuring interviews with Cooper, Biel and B.A. Baracus actor and UFC champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. You also get a brief, up-close glimpse of "District 9" star Sharlto Copley in his full "Howling Mad" Murdock get-up, but Liam Neeson's Hannibal is notably absent. Check out the video-y goodness after the jump. Read more...

--This news just arrived in my mailbox, so consider it hot off the presses. Overture Films has issued a casting announcement for Matt Reeves' "Let Me In," a remake of the Swedish vampire flick "Let the Right One In." Joining the cast are Kodi Smit-McPhee ("The Road"), Chloe Moretz ("500 Days of Summer") and Richard Jenkins ("The Visitor").

--As if the badass trailer for Chris Nolan's "Inception" wasn't enough to get you excited, there's more news on the hush-hush project today. IMAX Corporation announced that the sci-fi flick will hit IMAX theaters and regular theaters simultaneously on July 16, 2010. And yes, that is too long to wait for something that looks so freaking cool. (ComingSoon) Read more...

There are a lot of fools in this world, and I pity all of them. But I most pity the fool who's not on board with the idea of bringing the classic "A-Team" TV series to the big screen. The original was gloriously cheesy, filled with bad one-liners and over-the-top action. It was a made-for-TV serial blockbuster. Mix in a $100 million+ dollar budget, and you've got a cinematic atom bomb on your hands.

The key cast has been slowly -- ever-so-slowly -- coming together. After much rumor-mongering, misreporting and illicitly obtained soundbiting, stars Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson were finally confirmed earlier this year for the roles of Faceman and Hannibal, respectively. More recently, UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was kinda-sorta confirmed for the role of B.A. Baracus (we're still waiting for official confirmation from Jackson's reps on that one). Now we have word today from Variety that Jessica Biel and "District 9" star Sharlto Copley are both in talks. Read more...

Ah "District 9." You're finally here. Now everyone gets to share in the joy, to see how exquisitely well-crafted you are. Director Neill Blomkamp rises to the challenge in his first feature directing gig, spinning out a tight, smartly laid out story which sails along, bolstered by an impressive first time leading man performance from Sharlto Copley. Enough poetic waxing about "District 9" though... on to the subject of this post.

Today's eBay Prop-Watch pick isn't a prop. Maybe it's a replica-- I think it popped up at some point in the movie. This should be a familiar image to anyone who's been following the summer sci-fi adventure though. "District 9" has been subject of a fairly extensive viral marketing campaign, and lots of cool ephemera has come out of it. And that's where the inspiration for today's pick lies. Read more...

District 9FROM MTV.COM: "District 9" seems an oddly misguided sci-fi movie. Where are the Hasbro toy connections? The skeletons of ancient TV series? There's not even a comic book involved. What is wrong with this picture?

Actually, the movie is based on ... what's the term — ah, yes: an original idea. It's a good one, too. The film does have aliens, but they're not the traditional galactic marauders. These amiable extraterrestrials were just cruising along over South Africa some 20-odd years ago when their huge spaceship suddenly conked out in the sky above Johannesburg, where it's still parked. The humans below managed to ferry the passengers down — more than a million of them — but then were stuck with the problem of what to do with these unwanted interlopers. Assimilation was out of the question — the creatures resembled big weird crustaceans with a snoutful of wriggling worms, and their native tongue sounded like a flock of ducks being eaten alive. They did have some interesting technology — especially in the weapons department — but it was bio-mechanical, and could only be operated by beings with alien DNA. Bummer.

As some of you already know, Sharlto Copley capably carried director Neill Blomkamp's "District 9" like a seasoned vet. It may surprise you to learn however that the newcomer actor was originally going assume a producer's role and nothing more for the summer sci-fi thinkpiece. Copley was a sniper in Blomkamp's "Alive in Joburg" short, on which "District 9" is based, but he never actively sought a spot in the film's cast, let alone the top spot.

"I was never set to actually star in the film," Copley said to MTV's Josh Horowitz during an interview at San Diego Comic-Con. "Neill only actually told me and made me the offer to be the lead guy in it when he said, 'look, Peter [Jackson]'s totally behind this. And we might have some issues from the studio or investors or whatever -- you know, they're going to want a star -- but because Peter wants it, and is really getting behind you, you're going to get it."

In the video below, the likable "D9" leading man has plenty more to say on how he got the role and what the production scene was like. Check it out, then head over to MTV.com for Christopher Cambpell's full rundown of the interview.
