Katy PerryStephen Fry surprised some Apple loyalists today by heaping praise on top of Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 devices. He's been a vocal supporter of Apple products in the past, but he offered an explanation of his open-minded position on Twitter.

In other tweets, everyone seemed to have a picture with someone else to share in the last 24 hours. "Weird Al" Yankovic arm wrestled with Fred Willard; Selena Gomez hit up a Katy Perry show; Ludacris went cruising with Tyrese Gibson; and Hugh Hefner hosted "Social Network" producer Dana Brunetti at the Playboy Mansion for a screening. Links to the pics await you after the jump along with Edgar Wright remembering the late Solomon Burke.

It's nice to see that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a sense of humor about the way people are reacting to "Inception" — not that its weekend on top at the box office should have him being defensive. The movie got a largely positive, if occasionally confused reception on Twitter in the meantime. You can check out what Shannon Elizabeth, Emma Caulfield and Ice-T thought down below.

Elsewhere, Selena Gomez had a great birthday, in case you were wondering. You can find out why, along with what Jaime King might look like as Aurra Sing in "Star Wars: A New Hope," a relationship between BP and Mel Gibson as imagined by Kevin Nealon, and which "Cowboys and Aliens" scene Jon Favreau has been getting ready to shoot after the jump.

Not everyone in Twitter-Wood chose to wear green for St. Patrick's Day, but some, like Kat Dennings, had to confront pinch mobs as a direct result of their decisions. Others, like P. Diddy and Kim Kardashian embraced the holiday, wearing green and identifying their Irish heritage.

Jon Favreau, meanwhile, still has a little bit of effects work left to do on "Iron Man 2," and he's still updating his Twitter account right into his last days on the project. You can find out what he's doing, see what Emmy Rossum thought of "Justified" on FX and see pictures that I can only assume include Selena Gomez's bowling team and a popular nickname for Christopher Mintz-Plasse on the "Kick-Ass" set. It's all in Twitter-Wood for March 17th, 2010. Read More...

Between Alex Meraz and Jodelle Ferland, someone may need to put on a gallery showing of "Twilight" actor artwork. While Ferland was busy drawing Taylor Lautner, Meraz was hard at work with his paints, and he TwitPic'd a shot of his project today.

Elsewhere in Twitter-Wood, birthdays were the hot thing today. Kim Kardashian revealed what she did for Reggie Bush in honor of his special day, and birthday boy Justin Bieber pretty much took over trending with the birthday wishes he commanded. Check out all of that below, along with Mandy Moore's fondness for the late Jay Reatard, which I share, and James Gunn's affinity for David Mazzucchelli's graphic novel "Asterios Poly," which I also share. You can keep following or trash all of your bootleg and unofficial "Twilight" Twitter updates now, because they've officially jumped into Twitter-Wood over at @Twilight. In addition to their look at the "New Moon" sound mixing stage, director David Slade posted an update on "Eclipse" filming, which had actor Xavier Samuel on set.

Also in the completely official MTV Movies Blog Twitter-Wood report today, I've got a pick from Selena Gomez of a snack I've never thought of putting together myself, but which you may want to check with her for pointers on if you've ever pondered how to apply maple syrup to a corn dog. Scope out all of that info and more below. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for October 12, 2009. Read More...

"Twilight" was out in full force today in in the Twitter-Wood feed, with David Slade providing his usual posts -- this time with a behind-the-scenes pic -- and Ashley Greene joining her fellow "Eclipse" cast members by registering a verified Twitter account. Needless to say, she has been added to our follow list.

In non-"Twilight" news Tom Felton had a birthday today, and it sounds like he had a good time watching "Entourage" and hanging out at the beach. Elsewhere, Tyrese Gibson posted an old shot of himself with Tupac Shakur, and Elizabeth Banks explained a disturbing dream she had last night about Matthew Perry. Read them all below. You might not know who Selena Gomez is if you're over the age of 25 and have no younger family members. She's incredibly popular though, known best as Alex Russo on Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place." She also had roles in the Disney Channel movies "Another Cinderella Story" and "Princess Protection Program." Gomez's long-term goal is to join a band and take her music as far as she can, as she told MTV's Jocelyn Vena in an interview last year.

Last week, Gomez took home a golden statue at the 2009 Alma Awards, an event which celebrates Latino artists across a range of industries. In the Daily TwitPic after the jump, you can see the young entertainer cradling her shiny new trophy, a contented grin on her face. Congratulations, Ms. Gomez. Here's hoping Kanye West didn't pop in to crash your acceptance speech. Read More...

Warwick Davis has only gotten cooler in my eyes since I started following his Twitter account. The "Harry Potter" and "Willow" star apparently set up a laser tag match this week with John Williams' "Star Wars" score playing in the background, which sounds like quite the celebration of sci-fi geekdom.

It was also a relief this morning to read that I wasn't the only one seeing little bird-shaped, multicolor avatars everywhere when I logged in to Twitter. Diablo Cody and Richard Kelly experienced the same thing with reactions similar to my own. If you know what I'm talking about, or want to find out, click on down below and read their posts, along with Peter Facinelli's exhausting end-of-day tweet from the "Eclipse" set and a Selena Gomez ALMA Award pic for all you "Wizard of Waverly Place" fans. They're in the Twitter-Wood report for September 18, 2009. Read More...

A few talking heads in the Twitter-Wood feed like Michael Ian Black and Greg Grunberg were following Apple's keynote address today, where new iPods and features were announced. One guy caught a quick picture with with Steve Jobs, however, and that shot earned Tyrese Gibson my Twitter Pic of the Day.

Others were more concerned with the new "Melrose Place" series last night, like writer Brian Lynch. You can click on down read their commentaries accordingly, along with Kat Dennings' birthday wishes to Jonathan Taylor Thomas, a pic from John Favreau at an AC/DC performance, and an emphatic announcement from Brett Ratner. Disney surprised a lot of tweeters this morning when the company announced its acquisition of Spider-Man and X-Men publishers Marvel Entertainment. Kevin Smith, Jeff Katz, Dax Shepard, and many others chimed in with thoughts on the purchase.

Elsewhere, the tweets are still trickling in from those remembering DJ AM, including renowned Vegas party-goer Paris Hilton. The list of tweets today was actually fairly thick to sort through, with all of these reactions, a photograph of a "Twilight" star biting into a horse and Bob Saget's response to a fan's request for him to tell the "Aristocrats" joke on Twitter. It's all below in the Twitter-Wood Report for August 31, 2009. Read More...
