Is it just us or did Tom Cruise come across as massively sane, funny, and um almost cool tonight? Maybe it was the moment when we saw Tom chatting up "Tropic Thunder" buddy Ben Stiller. Or maybe it was when Katie Holmes sweetly wished him "good luck" before he made his way to the big stage. One of our favorite moments surely came when we saw Tom backstage with Sarah Jessica Parker. She practically looked like she was meeting royalty.

Then there was the big show where Tom won us over by repeatedly referring to MTV Generation Award winner Adam Sandler as "the Sandman." Tom Cruise has comic timing? You've come a long way from your couch jumping, Tom. Welcome back. (See pics of Cruise, Holmes and Sarah Jessica Parker after the jump!) Read more...

Kim Stolz spent her Friday interviewing the cast and director of "Sex & the City" (don't you judge us...we know you're secretly jealous, OK?) So sure, we talked to star Sarah Jessica Parker about the love, heartache, and fashion you'll find in the film. And SJP was so taken with Kim's youthful glow that she kept referring to her as a 13-year-old. Well, at the end of the interview, we couldn't resist showing her a little something that had come into our mailboxes earlier in the week.

Its storyline is one of the most closely-guarded secrets in Hollywood, but we managed to peel back the lid when we spoke to "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker. The actress opened up about her character's new journey, stating that it "really forces her to ask questions that you have to ask about yourself," and revealing that the highly-anticipated movie will involve a significant "loss" to Carrie.

That's right, while at Sundance yesterday we swung by Carrie Bradshaw's joint to talk about her new film "Smart People," in which Parker co-stars with Thomas Haden Church and Dennis Quaid. We also managed to get a few short "Sex and the City" movie bites, of course. Watch our adventures below, and then click here to see more video interviews with Adrian Grenier, Josh Peck, Method Man, Colin Farrell and so many others.

Sylvester Stallone as John RamboWith an eye towards the door, we wrap up the week with news on Zack Snyder, Nicholas Cage, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more below.

- Zack Snyder eyeing "The Last Photograph" from "300" scribe Kurt Johnstad. Story will center on a picture which inspires two men to head to Afghanistan. (Variety)

- Steel 'Cage' Match: Nicolas Cage in talks to star in "The Wrestler," about a washed up former grappler. (Hollywood Reporter)

- "Black Book" indeed! Carice Van Houten joins "Body of Lies" opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and "Repossession Mambo" opposite Jude Law. (Hollywood Reporter)

- Sarah Jessica Parker joins "The Late Bloomer's Revolution," about a father and his daughter both entering the dating world at the same time. (Variety)

It was only recently that New Line announced that Jennifer Hudson was joining the high-profile "Sex and the City" flick as Carrie's assistant, and now we have some of the first video of the "Dreamgirls" star doing her acting thing. Our own Kim Stolz managed to finagle her way onto the set to capture a scene where Hudson was walking into a Starbucks to meet Sarah Jessica Parker. Watch our exclusive video below.

Earlier this week, we brought you news that the men of "Sex and the City" have returned for its big-screen debut. Last week, we broke the news that May 30, 2008 is the film's official release date. Now we have for you the very first photo from the set, featuring Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw and her love interest, Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Enjoy!

Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica Parker on set of the 'Sex and the City' movie

Jason LewisIt looks like each of the ladies of "Sex and the City" will have some familiar men on their arm when the eagerly awaited film version hits the big screen. Last week we broke the news of a prime summer release date for the "Sex and the City" film, and now we can report that you will see two more familiar faces in the flick.

Reprising their roles as the significant others of Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) will be Jason Lewis and David Eigenberg. This news comes straight from New Line so you can take it to the bank. Lewis and Eigenberg join fellow returning "Sex and the City" paramours Chris Noth (yes, Big is back) and Evan Handler.

As for new faces, the previously reported addition of Jennifer Hudson as Carrie's assistant is the only name to surface so far. But with production scheduled to begin in New York within the week, look for additional names to pop up soon enough.

So it looks like the gang is all back. Are you happy to see these familiar men returning for the film? What new blood would you like to see the ladies cannodling with? Tell us below.

Chris NothWay back in May, we told you that the big-budget version of HBO's "Sex and the City" series had found its director. Then we learned that Sarah Jessica Parker had managed to beat lone holdout Kim Cattrall into submission, thus allowing the big-screen reunion to finally move forward.

Now word comes from out west that Chris Noth -- the "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star who portrayed Carrie Bradshaw's enigmatic flame Mr. Big -- has also joined the burgeoning cast.

"There is no need for funeral arrangements," the studio quoted helmer Michael Patrick King as stating. "I assure you that Mr. Big is a very 'big' part of the 'Sex and The City' movie. While I have not spoken to him myself, Chris Noth assures me that Mr. Big is alive and well and ready to report to the set in September."

No details about the plot have been revealed, but stay tuned. We've got our dogs on it.

So what are your thoughts? Who would you like to see make a return appearance? Chime in below!
