With most of the MTV Movies team on their way to San Diego and Comic-Con officially getting underway tomorrow, I figure I ought to show the annual geek gathering some love. So today's post highlights the many different guides to getting the most out of the convention from Around the Blogosphere. There are a surprising number of niche-focused features, and I've tried to round most of those up along with a general breakdown or two. Even if, like me, you're unable to attend this year, you can at least live vicariously through this guides. Woo.
-- First up is a day-by-day breakdown of the essential panels to catch at SDCC, io9's "Your Can't-Miss-It Guide To Comic Con 2009!" My personal pick is the one for Mike Judge's "Extract." Summit Entertainment announced today that "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" will be featured at a panel at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. Considering the turnout for last year's "Twilight" panel, this news was really more of a "when" than an "if." The announcement mentions "exclusive new footage" and maybe "even a surprise or two."
The announcement does not reveal exactly "who" will be attending, though it's going to be tough to top last year's lineup. Who would you like to see? Predictions for what footage they'll be showing? How early do you intend to line up to secure your seat in the panel?
