You know how you feel when you look at one of those blogs with all of the cute and fuzzy kitten pictures? Twitter-Wood's sort of like that today with good news following Elizabeth Taylor's heart surgery, Emmy Rossum with cotton candy, Paris Hilton with a monkey, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's happy breakfast picture.

All of those pics come in addition to an announcement by Jason Reitman that "Ghostbusters" fans should not want him to direct "Ghostbusters 3," as well as an on-set shot of Rainn Wilson with the band Frightened Rabbit, who recently got a tour of the office used in "The Office." Click on down to check out those posts and more. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for October 9, 2009. Read more...

Elizabeth Taylor actually broke some news about herself on Twitter this afternoon, as it appears the Hollywood legend and Twitter-Wood citizen is having an operation performed on her heart. Rose McGowan was among the first to send good vibes out to her, and I definitely echo those sentiments, as her performance in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" is among my all-time favorites.

In less dangerous news, Kim Kardashian added her name to Twitter-Wood's list of Halloween costume commitments for the year, announcing that she'll be going to at least one event as Jasmine from "Aladdin." Check out all the details, along with Shaq's take on Brett Favre, Richard Kelly's plea for help understanding "A Serious Man" and Peter Facinelli's behind-the-scenes shot from "Nurse Jackie." They're all in the Twitter-Wood report for October 6, 2009. Read more...

"Twilight" covers pretty much turned into the Sports Illustrated cover of hand-modeling gigs, but Kimbra Hickey snagged it, and actor Justin Chon earned my photo pic for the day with his candid TwitPic of her from the weekend. Chon, Peter Facinelli, and Christian Serratos all posted over the weekend, and Serratos contributed her own TwitPic, which you'll find below.

Moving on down the feed, Miley Cyrus appears to have had a good time and a Britney Spears concert, and the two performers exchanged Twitter gushes when it was all over. Ice-T, meanwhile, was not gushing in his criticism toward public reaction Saturday when Jenny Slate dropped the F-bomb on "Saturday Night Live." I'm @brianwarmoth, and you can check out all of those posts, along with more Rose McGowan fan artwork(!), Dane Cook with Andre Agassi and what Amanda Bynes wants in a boyfriend. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for September 28, 2009. Read more...

It was an epic day of awkward headshots in the Twitter-Wood feed today, so go click on the photo links knowing full well that you are about to see some rare sights. Pee Wee Herman, Paul Reubens' recently revived alter-ego earned top honors for a shot posted by Andy Milonakis, but Alyson Hannigan, Danny DeVito and Ice-T all jumped in the running too.

None of them, however, openly invited New Yorkers to walk up to them on the street and receive a kiss, though, which is cannot be said of Simon Pegg. You can find a link to that warm proposition along with Rachelle Lefevre's thoughts on "The Biggest Loser" and Rose McGowan's take on getting beat up. There's all in the mix for the September 23 Twitter-Wood report. Read more...

"Twilight" was out in full force today in in the Twitter-Wood feed, with David Slade providing his usual posts -- this time with a behind-the-scenes pic -- and Ashley Greene joining her fellow "Eclipse" cast members by registering a verified Twitter account. Needless to say, she has been added to our follow list.

In non-"Twilight" news Tom Felton had a birthday today, and it sounds like he had a good time watching "Entourage" and hanging out at the beach. Elsewhere, Tyrese Gibson posted an old shot of himself with Tupac Shakur, and Elizabeth Banks explained a disturbing dream she had last night about Matthew Perry. Read them all below. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for September 22, 2009. Read more...

A few talking heads in the Twitter-Wood feed like Michael Ian Black and Greg Grunberg were following Apple's keynote address today, where new iPods and features were announced. One guy caught a quick picture with with Steve Jobs, however, and that shot earned Tyrese Gibson my Twitter Pic of the Day.

Others were more concerned with the new "Melrose Place" series last night, like writer Brian Lynch. You can click on down read their commentaries accordingly, along with Kat Dennings' birthday wishes to Jonathan Taylor Thomas, a pic from John Favreau at an AC/DC performance, and an emphatic announcement from Brett Ratner. It's in the Twitter-Wood report for September 9, 2009. Read more...

Brett Ratner may not be making that "Guitar Hero" movie that he's dreamed about, but he is getting the chance to help launch the new game with a commercial. And he's excited -- like tweeting about it excited.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, those wildfires are still burning, and the faces of the Twitter-Wood feed are still watching the smoke fly. Richard Kelly and Rose McGowan caught a glimpse of the flames, while Kevin Smith linked to what the little actress from "Jersey Girl" is up to these days, and Miranda Cosgrove locked herself out of her home. Find out what happened and see the proudest display of nerd-pride on the Internet today in the Twitter-Wood report for September 1, 2009. Read more...

In the first "Wizard of Oz" movie, Dorothy sure wasn't in Kansas anymore -- but in Todd McFarlane's proposed reimagining of the franchise, it's unclear if Dorothy is even in Oz anymore.

Based on his "Twisted Land of Oz" action figure line, McFarlane's upcoming "Wizard of Oz" film promises a lot more mayhem and mischief than a winged monkey could ever muster, and you don't have to take McFarlane's word for it -- the action figures themselves speak volumes about this dark and dangerous new Oz.

Given the horrifying look of the toys, it's tough to imagine who could play these mangled versions of L. Frank Baum's classic characters -- but that's not stopping me from trying! After the jump, check out the five actors that I'd like to see in McFarlane's new "Oz" film. Read more...

"Men Who Stare at Goats," the new George Clooney and Ewan McGregor film about psychic soldiers, kicked off a flurry of commentary on Twitter this week, and at least one producer out there loves Jeff Bridges' role.

There's been a lot of real-life drama sweeping through the Twitter-Wood feed as well this week, including Ted Kennedy's death and memorial service and the wildfires in Los Angeles that have forced thousands of residents out of their upscale L.A. neighborhoods. Shannon Elizabeth caught a shot of the fires from her living room window, which you can find below. It's all there along with Miley Cyrus and a factoid you likely never knew about Clive Barker in the Twitter-Wood report for August 28, 2009. Read more...

Miley CyrusIt may come to you as no surprise that Kristen Bell is a huge George Carlin fan. But did you know that she once co-composed a musical based on his comedy? The Twitter-Wood feed picked up a few details about her un-produced masterpiece today, and I have to say, someone should get that on stage -- soon!

Other Twitter-Wood revelations included Rose McGowan's willingness to appear on "Mad Men" -- yet another move I would support! Several other tweets may be slightly less shocking -- for instance, that Tom Felton's hair-dying adventures have resumed, or that Kevin Nealon makes jokes about Kim Jong Il. You'll understand when you read today's Twitter-Wood report below. But first, for those of us out there without ready access to a beach, here's Miley Cyrus laughing in our faces in the Twitter Pic of the Day. Read more...
