James BondFinally, James Bond is actually coming to a theater near you some day soon, thanks to an agreement reached by Sony and MGM.

Deadline was the first to post a press release announcing that Sony is distributing "James Bond 23" alongside MGM, and that they're already looking at "Bond 24" as well. We're hoping this means we'll be seeing MGM's "Red Dawn" and "Cabin In The Woods" through Sony as well, though nothing is official yet. In exchange, MGM will co-finance several Sony pictures, including David Fincher's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

After the jump, find out which unreleased robot movie already has a sequel in the works, the line-up for Cannes and what "Fast Five" director Justin Lin has to say about his "Terminator" plans.

Despite being resigned to filming his upcoming film "God of Carnage" overseas in France, Roman Polanski had recruited some of Hollywood's best to star in the upcoming adaptation of Yasmina Reza's Tony-winning play. Christoph Waltz, Matt Dillon, Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster have been cast as film's four leads.

There's no news on which characters from the play each of the actors will play, but they will end up being cast in the roles of two married couples who meet after their children get in a fight at school. The story is set in Brooklyn, though since Polanski is not allowed in the United States he is filming it in Paris for 12 weeks starting in February. Read More...

Due to the unending nature of real life, sequels to non-fiction films should be more common than they are. Documentary sequels do occasionally exist though, and the most necessary of these are the follow-ups to films involving inconclusive or controversial legal cases. Must-see examples include Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky's "Paradise Lost 2: Revelations" and Nick Broomfield's "Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer."

We may have another to add to that group now that Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski ("Chinatown") has been arrested and faces extradition on 32-year-old statutory rape charges. Filmmaker Marina Zenovich, whose brilliantly constructed 2008 film "Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired," shed new light on the 1977 trial, has reportedly gone to Switzerland to further document the case. It's not clear if she is interested in making another feature doc or simply looking to supplement "Wanted and Desired" with new footage in the form of an epilogue. Read More...

Filmmaker Roman Polanski, director of "Chinatown" and recent Gore Girls targets "Rosemary's Baby" and "Repulsion," was arrested by Swiss authorities in Europe on a three decade old sex abuse charge in the United States. Polanski, a French citizen, will remain in-country while the legal wranglings play out.

Following a publicized arrest in Los Angeles, Polanski ended up pleading guilty to one count of having sex with a minor in the subsequent trial. He fled the country shortly thereafter and has not returned since. Polanski has since had to be mindful of where his travels through Europe take him, what with the looming specter of extradition, but he maintains a home in Switzerland, according to a New York Times report. Today's Gore Girls pick is the Catherine Deneuve-starring Roman Polanski classic, "Repulsion," the director's first English-language film. The story follows Carol (Deneuve), a sexually repressed young woman who suffers a psychotic break after her sister/roommate leaves her all alone in her apartment for a weekend. This isn't traditional horror, certainly not by today's standards, but I'll let Jenni & Terri give you the scoop. Read More...

'Nicholas Cage'Last fall, Roman Polanski announced that his next film would be an adaptation of "The Ghost," a Richard Harris novel about a ghostwriter hired to write the memoirs of an ex-Prime Minister.

Now MTV News can announce who'll join him.

Pierce Brosnan and Nicolas Cage have been tapped to star as the British Prime Minister Adam Lang and the unnamed ghostwriter, respectively, in the next project from the legendary, Oscar winning director, Brosnan revealed. (And, yes, it took considerable effort not to write "From Ghost Rider to ghostwriter." You’re welcome.)

"I'm going to go off and work with Mr. Roman Polanski and Nic Cage on a film called 'The Ghost,'" Brosnan said. "It's a thriller."
