HalloweenWith "Drive Angry" due out on DVD and Blu-Ray Tuesday and "Hellraiser" as the next project on their list, it looks like fans waiting to see director Patrick Lussier and writer Todd Farmer's take on the "Halloween" franchise will have to wait a couple more years. But when MTV News caught up with the directing/writing duo to talk the "Drive Angry" DVD release, they said that their planned "Halloween 3" is definitely still on their radar.

Farmer has completed the script already and they are in talks with the Weinstein company to make the movie, but Lussier said the time just hasn't been right to bring the film to production yet.

"We would love it to go through," Lussier said. "We would make that the second somebody said, 'Yes, go make it,' because it's a script that we love and a script we're really passionate about and it's an amazing character and an incredible franchise, and it would just be a great experience for us to go back to the roots."

Paranormal ActivityThe ultimate villain, Satan, makes an appearance (twice!) in this week's Horror Bites. To start, "The Hangover's" Bradley Cooper, supposedly in talks to star in "The Crow" remake, has now set his sights on an adaptation of "Paradise Lost" – no, it has nothing to do with the metal band – and Cooper may be playing the big bad himself, Lucifer. Rutger Hauer won't let anyone show him up, though, and is also engaging in a little devilry on screen.

"Paranormal Activity 3" is slipping into "Saw's" place as the new Halloween franchise. Oren Peli and his crew have brought on a team of "documentary" filmmakers to direct their latest installment in the supernatural series. Pants will be peed this October, for sure. Meanwhile, the cast of "Piranha 3DD" is rounding out quite nicely – and may need to increase a cup size – with the addition of some familiar faces, and the "Sexiest Woman Alive."

Find out the full skinny, and relish in more horror goodies, after the jump.

Rob ZombieWord broke back in September that shock horror filmmaker and musician Rob Zombie was no longer directing a remake of "The Blob," and instead pursuing an all-new original project called "The Lords of Salem."

Not only is that news still true, but we have a start date to look forward to. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zombie will begin shooting "Lords of Salem" in the spring, though exact shooting locations are unknown. Additionally, we haven't heard word one about casting just yet, but hopefully we'll know more soon.

In "Lords of Salem," Zombie has crafted a haunting tale set in contemporary Salem, Massachusetts, where the townspeople receive a jarring visit from a 300-year old coven of witches. Presumably, they're not too pleased about all those hunts so many years ago.

Rob ZombieRob Zombie has broken up with "The Blob" in favor of a pack of witches. Hey, this is Hollywood — heartbreak happens all of the time!

According to Deadline, Zombie has abandoned his commitment to remaking "The Blob" in favor of "The Lords of Salem," a new thriller from Haunted Films — the same folks responsible for "Paranormal Activity." "Lords of Salem" marks the third co-production between Haunted Films and Alliance Films, following on the heels of James Wan's "Insidious" and Barry Levinson's currently shooting "The Bay."

Set in contemporary Salem, Massachusetts, "Lords of Salem" sees the town's residents receiving a visit from a 300-year-old coven of witches. Zombie is writing the screenplay and will shoot the film next year. Read More...

Roger Clemens has been trending today after news broke yesterday that he'd been indicted on perjury charges. Marlon Wayans commented on the situation, and Jon Hurwitz just wants everybody to remember the baseball player's role in the movie "Kingpin" before they pass judgment.

It was a festive day in Twitter-Wood otherwise. Wes Craven tweeted from the "Scream 4" set. John Stamos showed off some tattoos, and Elizabeth Banks reviewed Green Day's "American Idiot" musical on Broadway. You can find out if she gave it a thumbs up or thumbs down down below, as well as where Rachelle Lefevre is going for three months and how Rob Zombie says he became God.

Emotions swung both ways in Twitter-Wood over the last 24 hours. Spain stirred up reactions with their win at the World Cup, and a few tweeters in the feed were even there to capture the moment in pictures. Check those out, and you can find out who was for Spain all along, as well as who was rooting for a psychic octopus.

Moods dipped a bit this morning, however, as news of underground comics icon and "America Splendor" creator Harvey Pekar's death hit the news. Rob Zombie, Patton Oswalt, and Brian Lynch all shared their thoughts on him, which you can find after the jump. There you'll also see what Tyrese Gibson is going to look like in "Transformers 3" and what Sofia Vergara plans on wearing for the next 2 weeks.

Regular Twitter-Wood readers know that I am fond of both "Toy Story 3" and Don Rickles, so I couldn't very well pass up linking to Lee Unkrich's TwitPic tweets today from the voice-recording studio. Both Rickles and Tim Allen showed up at the mics and on Unkrich's feed.

Elsewhere, Damon Lindelof, joined most of the Twitterverse in wondering about Apple's new tablet release, which is expected to be unveiled tomorrow. It appears to have even displaced next week's "Lost" premier atop his list of interests for the week. Those tweets, along with a shot of Hogwarts Castle from Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter and more will appear below as soon as you click through to Twitter-Wood for January 26, 2010. Jeff Bridges' performance in "Crazy Heart" was good enough for the Golden Globes, and it was good enough for Rob Zombie as well, judging by his tweets. Kevin Smith, meanwhile, had a positively-used expletive to describe his own experience watching Edgar Wright's unreleased "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World."

Less giddy was producer Jeff Katz, who used a sports metaphor to express his reaction to news that Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have split. I'll let you parse and interpret that one, as his references to Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno went a little over my head. You can do so after the jump where you will also learn about Ice-T's recent "Modern Warfare 2" accomplishments, when Emmy Rossum will begin taking trapeze lessons and who found a stray peacock in their back yard. It's all retweeted in Twitter-Wood report for December 23, 2009. Read More...

It comes as no surprise that supporting cast members in "New Moon" would try to splinter off their own factions in the endless "Team Edward vs. Team Jacob" debate, but it looks like BooBoo Stewart's got at least one backer for Team Seth, judging from his TwitPic upload today. Tinsel Korey, meanwhile, remains firmly behind Team Jacob.

In non-"Twilight" posting today, Danny DeVito had a nice showing for his birthday last night, even if his picture wasn't high enough quality to make Twitter Pic of the Day. Neil Patrick Harris posted a new shot from the "How I Met Your Mother Set" and David Wain contributed a courtside view from the Lakers game. Check out all of those after the jump where you'll also find out which actress enjoys dancing to Lady Gaga and which actor claims he's the only one who didn't audition for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 18, 2009. Read More...
