It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... Vin Diesel on the set of "Riddick"?

While we're just happy to see that the movie is busy filming, we're a bit confused by Diesel's superhero style get-up. Is this the vengeance-seeking gear in Riddick's part of the universe? We can't wait to find out.

The image comes courtesy of Diesel's Facebook page, where he thanked his fans for giving him the chance to make a new "Riddick" movie. "Grateful for the opportunity to make magic," he wrote.

Tom CruiseHayley Atwell, Alexa Davalos and Rosamund Pike are all up for their "One Shot" with Tom Cruise.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that director Christopher McQuarrie is testing those three actresses for the latest Cruise-starring flick, "One Shot." A casting announcement is expected within the next few days. "One Shot," an adaptation of Lee Child's 2005 crime novel, marks the first time Cruise and McQuarrie have worked together since 2008's "Valkyrie."

Fans of Vin Diesel's intergalactic serial killer Richard B. Riddick have been pretty excited these past few months, thanks to the news that the actor will be returning to the character in an all new story written and directed by "Pitch Black" helmer David Twohy. Details have been scant so far, but today brings a paragraph-long plot synopsis. And it sounds pretty cool. The story opens with Riddick betrayed and left for dead on a remote world. Mission Impossible IV-- "The Incredibles" director Brad Bird is in final negotiations with Paramount Pictures to helm "Mission: Impossible IV," the fourth entry into the spy franchise starring Tom Cruise and executive produced by J.J. Vin DieselFour years after his character Richard B. Riddick last graced the silver screen, and some years after telling reporters that there would be another Riddick film in his future, Vin Diesel told MTV News that he no longer thinks there will one day be a Riddick sequel.

He now thinks there will be two.

"David Twowy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the 'Lord of the Rings' guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind," he said of Riddick, the Furyan warrior first introduced in the 2000 film "Pitch Black." "'The Chronicles of Riddick' was presented as a three part trilogy that would answer 'Pitch Black' in the same way that 'Lord of the Rings' answered 'The Hobbit.'" Read More...
