Jamie Foxx"Django Unchained" has finally found its leading man, and it isn't Will Smith.

Jamie Foxx has landed the lead role in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Western, Deadline reports, joining a cast that (supposedly) includes Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson. It's Foxx's first Tarantino film, and judging by his ability to poke fun at himself in recent years (we're looking at you, "Horrible Bosses"), it actually sounds like a really good match.

After the jump, find out the latest actress contemplating starring in "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies," who is joining the cast of "Lone Ranger" and the role Warren Beatty will be playing in his return to film.

Liam NeesonLiam Neeson has a particular set of skills. Skills he nearly didn't apply to "Taken 2."

Although a sequel to the Luc Besson-produced "Taken" is now officially on track, Deadline reports that leading man Neeson nearly passed on reprising his role as retired spy Bryan Mills. The actor reportedly wanted to take some time off from acting, which wouldn't have jived with Besson's hopes to shoot the film this year. Those issues have since been resolved, and Neeson will now shoot "Taken 2" either at the end of this year or the beginning of 2012.

But had Neeson passed on "Taken 2," some very interesting names were floated around as his possible replacement. Get the lowdown on these actors past the jump!

Show of (virtual) hands: who here saw "Sexy Beast"? It's a fun, clever tale about a retired gangster who is drawn back into the underworld by a very tempting offer. Only everything goes to crap and our poor gangster ends up with more headache than bonus retirement funds.

I'm mentioning "Sexy Beast" today because its writers, Louis Mellis and David Scinto, are back with the just-released "44 Inch Chest." Ray Winstone, star of "Sexy," headlines the story, a jealous husband who kidnaps and tortures his wife's lover. In our exclusive clip below, you can see Winstone introducing himself to his kidnappee in grand fashion, with a flowery explanation of what love means. It's both touching and disturbing. Enjoy.

Ray WinstoneI just get giddy at the very thought of this film because it's so insane on so many levels. And if it were virtually anyone besides Steven Soderbergh behind it, that giddiniess would probably be replaced by repulsion, but really how can you be turned off by the notion of "Cleo"?

It is: (A) A retelling of the Cleopatra story, (B) A rock musical with music courtesy of members of Guided by Voices, (C) Shooting in 3D or (D) All of the above.

All of the above, baby! I spoke at length with Soderbergh this afternoon and he revealed quite a bit about his next film, including who will round out the leading trio of performers in the film. We knew about Catherine Zeta-Jones playing Cleopatra and Hugh Jackman as Mark Antony (Soderbergh said he's waiting by the phone for the official yes from the sexiest man alive). So who is the singing Julius Caesar? It's Beowulf himself, Ray Winstone, MTV can report straight from Soderbergh's lips.

The director also refured reports that the film is set in the 1920s, saying it's a period story all the way. Read More...

50 CentA few weeks ago, we brought you the news that bad boys Jason Statham, 50 Cent, and Mickey Rourke had joined the thriller "13” alongside up-and-comer Sam Riley.

As if that wasn't an impressive enough cast, they've been joined by two new heavies -- and we finally get the scoop on who's playing whom. According to Variety, Ray Winstone and Ray Liotta are joining the cast, making this one group of guys you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley -- or, in this case, an underground club.

Unfortunately, that's just what poor Riley does. He discovers an ugly underground sport where the wealthy bet on the unlucky individuals sold into a Russian Roulette-like competition. Rourke will play a convict from a Mexican prison who is sold into the game, and 50 Cent the man employed to escort him to the bloody game. Read More...
