With the bloody awesome that ensued in "Rambo" and the hopefully bloody awesome contained in next year's "The Expendables," there is absolutely no reason that today's announcement of a fifth "Rambo" film should be anything but bloody awesome news.

According to Variety, Sylvester Stallone is officially planning a sequel to last year's "Rambo," which he will once again direct and star in for Nu Image/Millennium Films. Production is expected to start in the spring of 2010.

Variety describes the plot of the untitled "Rambo" sequel as revolving around "Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border." Read more...

The "Inglourious Basterds" premiere last night attracted a huge lineup of stars, and many of them, including Brett Ratner, Diablo Cody and Sarah Silverman shared their reactions today via tweets. The inspiration that Ratner drew for his remake of "The Boys from Brazil" will be of particular interest to movie fans, as his impassioned tweets certainly lit up the Twitter-Wood feed today.

Rose McGowan, meanwhile, cued up a copy of "Twilight" only to be quickly appalled by the murder of the innocent deer, which she announced on her account. Earlier we brought you a series of exclusive photos from Sylvester Stallone's upcoming facemelter, "Rambo," along with responses Sly wrote to questions we sent him. Now we've got an exclusive TV spot to show you which features all sorts of crazy action. "Rambo" hits theaters on January 25.

For many December 25th is a holiday but for some of us here at the MTV Movies Blog Christmas is going to come a month later when Sylvester Stallone metes out justice the only way he knows how -- the Rambo way.
