The pictures we've seen of "Conan" so far seem to prove beyond a doubt that the reboot starring Jason Momoa has the potential for greatness, and that Momoa definitely has the look to step into Arnold Schwarzenegger's sandals as the epic barbarian. New images that have hit the net courtesy of Bleeding Cool give us our first glimpse the film's leading ladies, Rose McGowan and Rachel Nichols, as well as a look at some of the action set pieces. McGowan, who plays half-human, half-witch Marique, definitely looks unlike we've seen her before. The images are a bit too tiny to clearly make out the details, but in one pic McGowan can be seen lying on a bed with her red-and-black hair pulled tightly back. Newcomers may not realize it, but the "Star Trek" franchise is rife with some truly bizarre casting choices, particularly within the film series. Kirstie Alley, John Larroquette, Alan Ruck, Kim Cattrall, F. Murray Abraham… lots of folks you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see popping up in a sci-fi feature, particularly one with "Trek’s" devoted fanbase.

'Star Trek' Halloween Tips From Hollywood Crush!

We were green with envy when Rachel Nichols got to have a quick romp with the out-of-this-world hottie Chris Pine in this summer’s mega-hit "Star Trek." So, while Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Nyota (Zoe Saldana) may have been the intergalactic couple to make it work despite some interplanetary meanies trying to come between them, we think bad boy Capt. James Kirk (Chris) and Star Fleet cadet Gailia (Rachel) will make for far more interesting, not to mention eye-catching, couples costume (or solo, we don’t judge!) this Halloween.
We're not going to have you recreate your own Vulcan (though, hats off to you if you can pull that off!), but we so have some helpful hints (after the jump) to best capture the look of Kirk and Gailia. We’ve tried to make them as budget-friendly as possible (heck, times are probably tough on the USS Enterprise) and cool enough that you’ll (live long and) prosper this October 31st.
