Marc ForsterAlthough Marc Forster has directed many movies we’ve all seen, from “Finding Neverland” to the licensed to kill blockbuster “Quantum of Solace,” he’s resisted becoming an auteur -- a filmmaker who doesn't let us forget that he’s behind the camera -- a la Stanley Kubrick, Kevin Smith and others. In his latest offering, Forster is breaking several of his own rules, including taking command of the lens from both sides.

“[While filming ‘Solace’] I realized that the only time I had for me, which was quiet and calm, was on an airplane,” Forster explained of his mind-blowingly trippy new short. It's something that has to be seen to be believed, and you can check it out over at the website for Swiss International Air Lines. “It was the only moment where I could reflect and be myself… there’s a nice symbolism in the meaning of journey.” Read more...

Daniel Craig in 'Quantum of Solace'The Daniel Craig era of James Bond films kicked off a sea change for the franchise, confronting an era of modern-day terrorist operations and mixed national and corporate loyalties. Keeping Bond's adventures timely and relevant isn't the only challenge confronting filmmakers, though, according to the director from "Quantum of Solace." Keeping audiences wowed by Bond film locales is also becoming increasingly difficult.

"In a sense, Bond films lived because of locations," director Marc Forster told MTV News. "They’re sort of characters in the movies, so to find Bond locations these days is getting trickier and trickier." Read more...

When the pairing of Jack White and Alicia Keys was first announced for the "Quantum of Solace" theme song, we expectedly were all over it. So needless to say, now that "Quantum" has arrived in stores we're still clamoring for the dynamic duo.

Thankfully the two are spotlighted on the "Quantum" DVD and Blu-ray release in a special bonus feature which you can watch below. In the featurette, we're given a fly-on-the-wall view of the making of the "Another Way To Die" music video filmed against a large green screen. Check it out and then pick up the DVD or Blu-ray, out this week.

Daniel Craig in 'Quantum of Solace'"Quantum of Solace" director Marc Forster wanted to complete a tale that took James Bond movies into new territory. With the 22nd second Bond flick out on shelves this week on DVD and Blu-Ray, and Forster looking ahead to his adaptation of the zombie apocalypse novel "World War Z," no director has been attached to the unnamed the 23rd installment. Even though Forster declined an invitation to return, he expressed hope that his darker Bond vision would lay the groundwork for a lighter follow-up.

"They asked me if I wanted to," Forster told MTV News. "I’ll never say never again, but at this point I would say no." Read more...

As "Quantum of Solace" continues its worldwide box office reign, it's easy to miss the little details that made it so memorable. Thankfully, here's a list of those handy life lessons.

- Quantum isn't a multi-vitamin, but an international crime syndicate.

- When in pursuit of foreign operatives, it's pretty much guaranteed that if you dart in to any random locker room, you'll find a Tom Ford tuxedo in exactly your size...shoes too!

- The Green movement is a front for evil geniuses who really don't love the environment (though I've suspected that for a while). Read more...

'Four Christmases'The Box Office Top 5
#1. "Four Christmases" ($18.5 million)
#2. "Twilight" ($13.2 million)
#3. "Bolt" ($9.7 million)
#4 "Australia" ($7 million)
#5 "Quantum of Solace" ($6.6 million)

The top earners this weekend were all familiar faces, suggesting that post-Thanksgiving audiences prefer the warm and fuzzy fare to the blood and carnage offered by our big newcomer, "Punisher: War Zone." The latest Marvel flick only made it to the 8th spot, bringing in $4 million, the smallest opening yet for a Marvel film. That's a disappointing start for the Punisher reboot, and a bleak outlook for its continuation. Read more...

Daniel CraigBelieve it or not, Daniel Craig is more than just James Bond and the guy that almost played Thor. He’s also a solid dramatic actor who has performed some impressive work in films like “Munich.”

And after “Quantum of Solace” returns him to 007’s tuxedo, Craig will get dramatic again with “Defiance,” an Oscar-bait flick which opens at the end of this year. “It’s a true story set in World War 2,” explained producer Marshall Herskovitz, whose Bedford Falls production company is making the film. “This is very different from James Bond.”

Co-starring Liev Shreiber and Jamie Bell, the flick is directed by the man behind Oscar-nominees “Blood Diamond” and “The Last Samurai.” “Ed Zwick just directed it in Lithuania this year,” Herskovitz explained. “It’s really quite an amazing film, and we’re very proud of it.” Read more...

Now MTV's Tim Kash, playing the role of our very own international man of mystery, gets behind the wheel to take the limited-edition vehicle for a spin in this full test-drive video.

The results speak for themselves:

Alicia KeysAlicia Keys just got done recording "Another Way to Die," the new theme song for the latest Bond film, "Quantum of Solace." But her real ambition?

"I think I can be the next Bond girl," the singer and actress laughed when we caught up with her recently at the Toronto Film Festival.

For now, of course, Keys will have to settle for co-creating with White Stripes frontman Jack White the kick-ass opening number in "Solace," which I cannot mention without also mentioning that it's the worst movie title in history.
