I don't know why these crazy sequels surprise me anymore but well, I'm kind of shocked. They're really going ahead with a "Point Break" sequel. That's right, and what's the big news today is that this won't be one of those straight-to-DVD knock-offs. Nope, an actual one-time kinda sorta respected director is attached to this one...Jan de Bont. The original "Point Break" writer is scripting. And Keanu Reeves just told his agent to tell the studio he's on holiday.
Then again, let's not forget that de Bont directed Reeves in the original "Speed." Could this be an elaborate play to lure the star back? I think they'll have better luck with Busey.
But enough about me. What do you think? Does a "Point Break" sequel get you excited or make you want to pull a Bodhi and jump out of an airplane?
