For all of the things that we love and obsess over on HBO's brilliant "Game Of Thrones", there are definitely a couple elements that we love to hate. Cersei Lannister, played by Lena Headey, is one of them.

George R.R. Martin gets the lion's share of credit here for Cersei's creation, but we also have to hand it to Headey and her wonderfully cold, calculated and often infuriating (in a good way) portrayal. MTV News caught up with Headey recently at HBO's Golden Globes after-party, where she gave a little preview of what Cersei will be up to in season two.

"She loses things that she loves and she loses her mind slowly," Headey said. "And she kind of goes to war with Tyrion."

Although our beloved "Game of Thrones" didn't take home the top prize for Best Drama at the Golden Globes on Sunday, we can be very happy for the continued support and recognition of Best Supporting Actor winner Peter Dinklage. People should get used to seeing him win awards actually, because as long as the series continues, he will very likely be blowing our minds with his brilliant portrayal of Tyrion Lannister.

MTV News was lucky enough to attend HBO's fancy Globes after-party Sunday night at which we encountered Dinklage and his bright, shiny new award. After offering our sincerest congratulations, we asked him how much battle action Tyrion will be seeing next season, particularly with regard to that little event at Blackwater...

"I think there were some fans that were disappointed that the end of the first season there wasn't a battle. We do not disappoint this season," Dinklage promised. "I think my character steps to the front in terms of fighting."

Tyrion LannisterIn the end, Tyrion Lannister might win gold. Emmy gold, that is.

If you've caught any of our "Game of Thrones" coverage by now, then you know we're a bit hopelessly obsessed reasonably enamored with HBO's new fantasy series. In fact, working this week with "A Dance With Dragons," the latest installment in George R.R. Martin's epic, sitting unfinished at the edge of our desk unfinished has been a constant struggle.

Needless to say we're beyond thrilled that the show was not only nominated for an Emmy in the Best Drama category, but that Peter Dinklage earned a nod for Best Supporting Actor. He more than anyone else on that show deserves the nod at this point in time.

The HobbitWith only two weeks left until "The Hobbit" makes its big presentation at Comic-Con, we're happy for anything we can get on the upcoming films.

Fortunately for us, Total Film has a badass interview with Richard Armitage about his role as the dwarf Thorin Oakshield. His hint: we're going to be getting a whole lot more dwarves mythology than we witnessed in "Lord of the Rings."

“The book is so focused on the dwarves, so I think it’s a chance for Peter [Jackson] and Fran [Walsh] to really look at that whole race in more detail, their heritage and what they’re like as characters," he said. Sounds like a win to us!

In the news after the jump, Spike Lee looks into remaking "Oldboy," a new "Three Musketeers" trailer hits the web and "Knights of Badassdom" head to Comic-Con.

Game of ThronesIt's been a pretty huge two weeks for HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" already, and it's about to get bigger.

Here's a quick recap: the penultimate episode this season, "Baelor," was the most jaw-dropping episode to date, and its conclusion left you fans pretty divided. Then star Sean Bean got stabbed at a pub and went back for another drink, which is about as badass as they come.

On top of that, the first season finale of "Game of Thrones" aired last night, promising us the glory of dragons and the clash of kings -- except, sadly, it'll be a good little while before winter comes to HBO again.

But fret not: winter is coming. Not only is season two about to get underway, but you'll be able to satisfy your "Game of Thrones" fix in a more immediate way very, very soon. Find out all the details you need to know about the second season of "Game of Thrones" and beyond past the jump!

Game of ThronesEpisode Title: "A Golden Crown"

Story: Ned's consolation prize for being attacked by the queen's brother, the so-called Kingslayer Jaime Lannister, is being reinstated as the King's Hand by Robert Baratheon, who just wants to go hunting and not deal with matters of state. But Ned knows that King's Landing is not safe for him, and tells his daughters Sansa and Arya that they must go south. It is only then that he uncovers the secret that the former King's Hand died to keep from telling...

In the Eyrie, Tyrion Lannister fights to save his life from his captors, Catelyn Stark and her sister Lysa Arryn, in a manner of speaking. Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys Targaryen must juggle issues with her increasingly delusional brother Viserys and the coming of her powerful son who is growing inside of her.

Game of ThronesEpisode Title: "The Wolf and the Lion"

Story: The Hand's Tourney is underway with a showdown between The Mountain, Ser Gregor Clegane, and the Knight of Flowers, Ser Loras. Ned remains distracted by the conspiracy surrounding Jon Arryn's death, and Varys the Spider reveals a poisonous detail — but this new information doesn't help Ned's cause any more than his quest for the king's bastards. Worse still, based on what Arya overhears while chasing cats, Ned's time as the King's Hand is running out.

Meanwhile, Catelyn continues her journey with Tyrion up to the Eyrie to present him to her sister, Lysa, but the reunion does not go quite as she expected. And when word of Tyrion's kidnapping reaches King's Landing, the Imp's brother Jaime reacts very, very poorly.

Game of ThronesEpisode Title: "Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things"

Story: As the title of this episode suggests, this episode centers on three of our favorite characters: Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and Jon (Kit Harrington). But the bastards extend into Ned's (Sean Bean) story as well as he investigates what the former King's Hand, Jon Arryn, was doing before his death -- and it turns out that King Robert (Mark Addy) knows a thing or two about bastards.

At the Wall, Jon continues to dominate his class of Night's Watch recruits, but picks up a new friend in the form of Samwell Tarly (John Bradley). The Hand's Tourney finally starts up in a gruesome jousting contest that tests Sansa's (Sophie Turner) ability to withstand violence, and Catelyn Tully (Michelle Fairley) finds an unsuspecting suspect along the Kingsroad. Elsewhere, across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finally, finally stands up to her nasty elder brother, Viserys (Harry Lloyd).

Last night was the hotly anticipated premiere of HBO's epic fantasy drama "Game of Thrones," and we've been amping you up for the event over the past week by rolling out interviews with actors including Sean Bean and series creator George R.R. Martin. We also spoke with Peter Dinklage, who plays the cunning and intelligent dwarf brother to the queen, Tyrion Lannister. It was pretty hard to miss Tyrion's introduction, too, as he made his on-screen debut through a pretty steamy sex scene.

There's a lot of sex in "Game of Thrones," and Tyrion has quite a few scandalous scenes in his future on the show. Because of that, we couldn't resist asking Dinklage whether he's looking forward to becoming the series' latest sex symbol.

For those of you who haven't yet read George R.R. Martin's epic novels, but are planning to tune into HBO's wonderfully-executed adaptation, "Game of Thrones," tonight (April 17), you are in for such a major treat. There are so many things to love about this brilliant story, I could go on for days. I won't. What I will say, however, is that if you're not already a Peter Dinklage fan, his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister, one of the series' most complex and colorful characters, will convert you in no time.

MTV News had the very privileged opportunity to speak with Dinklage awhile back, about all things Tyrion, as well as the proper way to describe what "Game of Thrones" is all about.
