"Passion Play" is, in a world, surreal. It stars Mickey Rourke as a down-on-his-luck jazz musician named Nate, who comes to a circus and finds himself drawn to Lily (Megan Fox), aptly named the Bird Woman because of the wings on her back. But the growing bond between this unlikely pair is threatened by the ruthless businessman Happy Shannon, played by none other than "Zombieland" cameo master and expert "Ghostbusters" dodger Bill Murray.

Like I said, surreal: strange premise and an unlikely assemblage of high-profile actors, all under the watchful eye of director and writer Mitch Glazer. There's been a lot of buzz surrounding this movie (some good, some bad), but as always, the proof is in the pudding — or, in this case, the exclusive clip.

We've got an exclusive first-look at a scene from "Passion Play" which, sadly, does not feature any Mickey Rourke at all. Instead, this one's all about Lily and, to a much greater extent, Happy — who, we find out, is not really Happy at all. In a manner of speaking. Watch the clip and you'll see what I mean.

"Passion Play" opens in limited release on May 6.

You've got have a little respect for Megan Fox. She's had a bad run of luck lately, what with her departure from the "Transformers" and the weekend tanking of "Jonah Hex." But she's staying positive. Later this year, she'll appear with Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray in Mitch Glazer's fantasy/thriller "Passion Play." And most recently, Fox pitched herself to star in an adaptation of the comic book "Gen 13," specifically as the Apache-born, weather-controlling superhero Sarah Rainmaker, who is debatably a lesbian or bisexual, depending on how far into the comic series you've progressed. Valentine’s day is right around the corner and love is in the air. Production studios’ holiday gifts to us? Loveable promotional material! “Toy Story 3,” “The Last Airbender,” “Clash of the Titans,” “Grown Ups” and “Get Him To The Greek” are all in full bloom while “Passion Play” delivers the sole wilted rose. Have no fear, Promo Police is here and will weed out the rotten material leaving you all warm and fuzzy inside for the holiday.

Trailer: “Toy Story 3”
The Good: New toys! The last trailer provided a vague sense of what Woody, Buzz and the gang will be facing in the series’ third installment. This one takes us into the daycare center to meet new characters including Triceratops, Ken, Lotso and Mr. Pricklepants. Read More...

"Scrooged" is an easy pick as one of my all-time favorite movies. I'll tune in every Christmas for the 24-hour "A Christmas Story" marathon, but the "Christmas Carol"-inspired tale of a jerkface TV exec and his eye-opening ghostly adventures is something I can pop in anytime, anywhere. Mitch Glazer, the writer of that movie, is gearing up to make his directorial debut this year with "Passion Play," which he also wrote.

Remember "Passion Play"? We got "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" star Megan Fox talking about it over the summer. She'll star with Mickey Rourke in the story of a circus freak (Fox) who is saved from a life of imprisonment by a trumpet player (Rourke) who has seen better days. Read More...

Hard to picture, right? The lovely Megan Fox, star of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and the upcoming "Jennifer's Body," caged up as a circus freak? Makeup can do a lot, sure, but is anyone going to want to buy Fox as anything less than a beautiful angel?

Probably not. It's a good thing then that she'll pretty much be one in writer/director Mitch Glazer's "Passion Play," In last week's "Behind the Screen" interview, Fox revealed to MTV's Josh Horowitz that she'll star opposite Mickey Rourke as a caged circus freak with angel-like wings growing out of her back, a role for which she had previously been rumored. Rourke will play her savior, in what the actress says "is clearly not going to be a typical [love story]."
