Russell CroweThe New York Times may have published Joe Wilson's now famous op-ed "What I Didn't Find in Africa" (aka evidence that Iraq had purchased uranium yellowcake), but now that Wilson's life is set to be a major motion picture, only on MTV News will you learn about "Who You Might Find in The Film."

"I'd love Russell Crowe," director Doug Liman enthused. "If you've met Joe, he's a really strong guy. I've never met an actor stronger than Russell Crowe."

Concluding in his piece that President George W. Bush either lied about or twisted intelligence to exaggerate the Iraqi threat in the weeks and months leading up to war, Wilson soon found himself the target of attack, which crested a week after the original article's publication when "Washington Post" columnist Robert Novak outed Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, as a covert CIA agent. Lindsay LohanOne of the best parts of being an entertainment journalist is getting a vote in the annual Golden Raspberry Awards, and this year's nominees once again offer a welcome opportunity to strike back at all the really, really bad movies we had to sit through in the past year.

The 28th annual nominations are led by free-falling film star Lindsay Lohan, whose "I Know Who Killed Me" landed her nominations as both Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple (since she played twins in the flick). Topping her, however, is Eddie Murphy in "Norbit," nominated for Worst Actor (as his character Norbit), Worst Supporting Actor (as Mr. Wong), Worst Supporting Actress (as Rasputia) and Worst Screen Couple. Could Murphy follow up last year's Oscar nomination with a sweep of acting Razzies? Read more...

One scene in "The Golden Compass" might shock fans of the book -- because Mrs. Coulter does something taboo to her monkey. And no, she's not spanking her monkey, just slapping him. "That's entirely different," director Chris Weitz laughed.

So why would this be shocking? Because her monkey is her daemon, the physical manifestation of her own soul, and it's a tad sadomasochistic, to say the least -- it's unheard of to hurt someone else's daemon, let alone to hurt your own. And when she smacks him, she gets a red mark on her own cheek. Read more...
