It comes as no surprise that supporting cast members in "New Moon" would try to splinter off their own factions in the endless "Team Edward vs. Team Jacob" debate, but it looks like BooBoo Stewart's got at least one backer for Team Seth, judging from his TwitPic upload today. Tinsel Korey, meanwhile, remains firmly behind Team Jacob.

In non-"Twilight" posting today, Danny DeVito had a nice showing for his birthday last night, even if his picture wasn't high enough quality to make Twitter Pic of the Day. Neil Patrick Harris posted a new shot from the "How I Met Your Mother Set" and David Wain contributed a courtside view from the Lakers game. Check out all of those after the jump where you'll also find out which actress enjoys dancing to Lady Gaga and which actor claims he's the only one who didn't audition for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 18, 2009. Read more...

Doogie! Sorry, I won't do that again. It's hard though, to be someone who grew up in the '80s and '90s, not to think of Neil Patrick Harris as Doogie Howser, MD, the boy genius doctor. Such a simpler time. Harris has become so much more than that in recent years, and my hat's off to him for shedding his child actor image. I still can't erase those first memories of his time on TV.

In today's Daily TwitPic we see Harris hanging with the lovely Felicia Day, a gifted performer who is associated with one of his more recent successes. The two starred together in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," a three-act comedic web series conceived by Joss Whedon and his brothers Zack and Jed. Enjoy the cute picture of would-be supervillain Dr. Horrible and his doomed love Penny, reunited. Read more...

Last night got busy in Twitter-Wood on a few fronts. Former "Remote Control" host Ken Ober's passing surprised a number of tweeters, including Brian Posehn and Jeff Katz, who both noted his loss.

L.A.'s Westwood village theatre, meanwhile, was epicenter for all of the "Twilight" Twitterverse during the "New Moon" premiere. BooBoo Stewart posted a pic from the red carpet, Rachelle Lefevre posted her reasons for missing the event, Brett Ratner was in attendance and Kevin Smith made a date out of the night with his daughter. You can check out what they had to say after the jump along with Twitter Pic pick that I selected more for its significance than its shock value, as Neil Patrick Harris officially moved into the Twitter-Wood neighborhood. It's all in the report for November 17, 2009. Read more...

Neil Patrick HarrisHe's a man who has many names: Doogie Howser... NPH... NPattz (patent pending). Neil Patrick Harris saw his career take a Tarantino-esque turn after a co-starring role in "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle." The boy who was Doogie Howser had suddenly become a man, and a really freaking crazy man at that. The newfound fame is likely what led to his starring role on the hit TV series "How I Met Your Mother." By the time the "Harold & Kumar" sequel came up, there wasn't really a question about seeing Harris return; he is integral to the series now.

Now The Hollywood Reporter brings word that NPH has nailed down his next two projects: a starring role in "The Best and the Brightest" and a support spot in "Beastly." This news come hot on the heels of Harris's appearance as the host of last night's Tony Awards ceremony. Read more...

FROM SPLASH PAGE: When Joss Whedon first launched his online musical miniseries "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" last year, it was pretty obvious that the project was something special. Between the experimental method for delivering the series to fans, the low-budget production with high-profile stars, and the terribly addictive songs, there was no shortage of attention heaped on the project -- and for good reason. In short, it was one of the Internet highlights of 2008.

The "Dr. Horrible" DVD hits shelves tomorrow, and along with collecting the entire miniseries on one disc, the DVD also contains over 90 minutes of bonus material -- including an introduction to the "Evil League of Evil," the organization to which Dr. Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris) strives to prove his villainous worth. Here's an exclusive clip:

He has the hottest viral clip on the Internet, more Hollywood stars at his disposal than Woody Allen, and some of his biggest laughs since he wrote the score for “South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut.” So, why is the creator of the hilarious “Prop 8 – The Musical" fearing for his life?

“I’m scared,” laughed 5-time Oscar nominee Marc Shaiman, reflecting on his red-hot mini movie that uses Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Neil Patrick Harris and other notables to mine laughs from a controversial subject. “[1.3 million views in barely a day] feels good, until I read some of the angrier comments left by some very angry people. Then I think, well, maybe I shouldn’t leave the house. I’ll just stay on Funny or Die.” Read more...

Neil Patrick Harris in 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog'Dr. Horrible has his evil eye set for Web domination next week -- but it wasn't so long ago that he only existed as a glint in Joss Whedon's eye.

So how did the "Dr. Horrible Sing-Along Blog" materialize so quickly? (Click here to read all about the "Dr. Horrible" project.) It all started during some tedious downtime during the recent writers' strike, when the Buffyverse creator decided that he wanted to do something creative, but was prohibited from writing for television or movies. What was left, besides comics?

And so, with his brothers Zack and Jed, and Jed's fiancee Maurissa Tancharoen, he wrote up an idea that ordinarily could have been done for TV, but was actually better suited for the Web: a miniseries that could be shared. Joss-appeal was in place with the miniseries' content: a superhero story (or spoof, rather) told through the eyes of a maniacal supervillain wannabe (played by Neil Patrick Harris), and told through song. Joss WhedonOK, so we know Joss Whedon is busy with Buffy (as a comic book) -- but what about all his other projects? We asked the man himself for an update.

"Goners" -- Whedon once told us that he was writing a script for a movie, which he called a "very personal thing about human connection and questioning whether there is such a thing at all." It was to be an original story, a horror fantasy, "a little darker than I'm used to," about a young woman who gains some powers. "Not something I've written about before," he joked, "but I'm excited to try some new territory." Universal, however, has not been quite as excited just yet, as "Goners" "has gotten backburnered," Whedon said, meaning it's still in development. "I still have hope for it, though."

"Cabin in the Woods" -- Instead, Whedon moved on to a new movie project, which he co-wrote with "Buffy" alum and "Cloverfield" scribe Drew Goddard. "It's genius, it's funny," Goddard said. "It's got a harder and darker edge, but it's also got classic Whedon qualities. It'll rip your heart out and be heartfelt at the same time." Enough with the hype, what's it about? "There's a reason the title is so straightforward," Goddard teased. "It's its own sub-genre, the cabin in the woods, and this is sort of our take on it. It's fresh and new." Read more...
