Mike MyersThe lead singer gets all the ladies, the lead guitarist all the praise. But what does the poor drummer get? Pretty soon, the greatest one of all is going to get his very own biopic.

Mike Myers’ long-in-development film on legendary Who drummer Keith Moon is finally nearing the starting gate, the comic told MTV News, excited to step into the shoes of the man he called the best drummer of all time.

It was party time aplenty at the Movie Awards tonight as host Mike Myers invited Dana Carvey on-stage to reprise their classic 'SNL' skit, "Wayne's World." See the glorious reunion below, and then click here to watch the entire show, in all its awesome movie-filled wackiness.

Internet gossip hound Perez Hilton has his own idea of just what it takes to be a real MTV Movie Awards host, and he's throwing down a challenge to this year's master of ceremonies, "The Love Guru" star Mike Myers. Hope you've been practicing your moves and meeting with your vocal coach, Mike!

The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with MTV News' "Coming Attractions" preshow kicking the evening off at 7:30 p.m. ET! Meanwhile, stay tuned to the MTV Movies Blog and MovieAwards.MTV.com.

Austin PowersAs gatekeeper of two Hollywood super-franchises, Jay Roach is the rare kind of man who can snap his fingers at anytime and guarantee $100 million minimum at the box-office. And when you're holding two aces up your sleeve like "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Parents," you never let your fingers drift too far apart.

"I know Mike's thinking about it," the producer/director said of the groovy possibility that the long-dormant super-spy will return for a fourth "Austin" flick. "Which is something of a move in a direction." Read more...

She can go from saccharine to salty in the span of a few seconds, but former MTV Movie Awards host Sarah Silverman has nothing but good things to say about new host Mike Myers. No, really.

“He’s going to be great,” the world’s funniest woman told MTV News of Myers, who is hosting the irreverent awards show for the second time.

Silverman, of course, drew high praise for her wickedly mean-spirited — and totally hilarious — opening monologue, in which she riffed on everyone from Jack Nicholson to Paris Hilton. Too much work, the comedienne declared. Read more...

Seth GreenRemember those reports earlier this month that supermodel Gisele Bundchen was in talks to star in "Austin Powers 4," and had already read a script for the project and was soon to meet Mike Myers and director Jay Roach? And how it thoroughly confused everyone since the film has been nothing more than loose ideas in Myers' head for years? Well, that's because none of it is true.

That's according to one person who should know - the demon seed of Dr. Evil himself, Seth Green. When asked about the rumored casting, Green was, like us, frankly astounded. "Giselle...the model??" he exclaimed. Read more...

Verne TroyerWe all remember the star-packed cameos from "Austin Powers in Goldmember," the third installment in the spy spoof series that featured everybody from Tom Cruise to Steven Spielberg, Danny DeVito to Britney Spears. Now, with "The Love Guru" just two months away, could Mike Myers once again have stars in his eyes?

"Yes, she's in the movie," Verne Troyer confirmed this week, speaking about a formerly-top-secret appearance by Jessica Simpson. "There are a lot of cameos in this."

The June 20th film features Myers' first original character since his world-famous shag-adellic spy, casting him as the meditative self-help guru Pitka, who is hired by the Toronto Maple Leafs to settle the romantic difficulties of the hockey team's star player. Although Myers has done his best to keep the "Guru" cameos secret, it sounds like Pitka will be seen helping at least one famous person to get her romantic life in order. Read more...

Mike MyersFor Mark Waters, it's like a daydream become reality: The "Mean Girls" director revealed to MTV News that he may once again pick up the reigns of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," three years after he lost his first chance at the project due to Hurricane Katrina.

"Mike Myers is taking it over completely, throwing out the screenplay. He's starting over with a new screenplay that he's going to write," Waters said. "I may end up circling back to it because Mike and I have developed things together. If his screenplay ends up really great I might end up jumping back into it with him." Read more...

With two scripts sold in the past six months, he's one of Hollywood's most in-demand screenwriters, and also one of the most unlikely candidates for the position. His name is Daniel H. Wilson, PhD, and he's a baby-faced robotics/data mining expert who injects both humor and hard facts into books like "How to Survive a Robot Uprising" (aka the script that Mike Myers will soon be starring in). Now, Wilson has sold another cool-sounding script called "Bro-Jitsu: The Martial Art of Sibling Rivalry," and he took time out from his scientific studies of wedgies, noogies and Indian sunburns to talk to MTV.

"[The upcoming book and movie] is a catalog of the different techniques that have evolved over thousands of years of sibling combat: offensive, defensive, and psychological moves," laughed Wilson. "Much of the book is also about the code of 'bro-jitsu'. These are previously unwritten rules, like 'no hitting in the face' and 'never let the spit glob actually fall'."

The pop-scientist's observations will undergo a transformation similar to "Mean Girls," which employed a narrative story to bring the sociological study "Queen Bees and Wannabes" to life. "The main theme that emerges is the recognition that all the fighting and squabbling really brings siblings closer together in the long run," Wilson said of wet-willies and penalties for flinching. "It teaches us about how far we can push people. The movie will certainly incorporate those lessons...and also give all kinds of mind-blowing bro-jitsu action."

"It's strange, but all the mental and physical torture we put each other through only makes me value having a brother more," added Wilson, who counts the "Reno 911!" gang among his die-hard fans. "And that's why I still occasionally put him in a headlock."
