We've got a cool one today, the premiere of the poster for the buzzed-about "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist," the music-centric, romance-tinged comedy (based on the bestselling book) that finds Michael Cera and Kat Dennings as high school seniors who join forces to hunt down an elusive secret concert in New York City. I've seen this one and it could very well be the new "Juno." Catch it yourself when the film hits theaters on October 3, 2008.

Michael CeraIt's the "funniest [book] I've ever read," said "Superbad" star (and newly minted three-time MTV Movie Award nominee) Michael Cera of "Youth in Revolt," a popular coming-of-age story he's starring in within the month.

It's also, at least in parts, borderline unfilmable, he laughed.

"I don't know if any of that will be in there!" he said of a risque scene between the hero (Nick Twisp) and his best friend. "There's a lot of stuff where you read in the book and you realize it's gonna be in the movie and you're like, uh, that might just be really awkward in the theaters!"

Mind you, this coming from a guy who wore those yellow running short shorts throughout "Juno." Could it get worse than that? Turns out it can, chuckled Cera. Read more...

David CrossWhile it might have been a TV program, the influence of "Mr. Show" on the ensuing decade of both movies and television has been a substantial one. Now, David Cross and Bob Odenkirk are putting together a project that will once again team the warped comic masterminds.

"Bob and I are going to shoot something for HBO, a pilot, which was something we wrote," Cross told us recently in Shreveport, Louisiana during a break from shooting the Jack Black-Michael Cera flick "Year One." "It's based on Bob’s idea, but we both co-wrote it and I’ll act in it."

Although the duo's return to Home Box Office will be like "Mr. Show" in some ways, Cross insisted that it will also play with the clichés of situation comedies. "It’s a sitcom," the "Arrested Development" funnyman explained. "It will follow a traditional sitcom feeling, but will also feel like a big sketch, even though the characters will remain the same each week." Read more...

Olivia WildeCombining the forces that gave us "Superbad," "School of Rock" and "Groundhog Day," there are few currently-filming flicks we're as excited about as "The Year One." Now, "House" actress Olivia Wilde is preaching to us all for the first time about her role in the biblical comedy.

"The script is so funny, I can't even tell you," laughed the 23-year-old beauty, currently filming the movie in Louisiana alongside Michael Cera, Jack Black and writer/director Harold Ramis. "I am a huge Monty Python fan, and it's definitely got some of that Monty Python-esque humor; it's over-the-top, but it's very smart." Read more...

Recently, we caught up with budding comic superstar Michael Cera on the set of "Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist," his upcoming film about two young lovebirds experiencing a whirlwind night in New York City. Ellen Page, Michael Cera and Jennifer Garner talk about the teen-pregnancy film from first-time screenwriter Diablo Cody. "Juno," which is being hailed as a teen classic, is now rolling out in select theaters.

This is the story of a low-rated TV show that cultivated some of the most loyal fans in the history of the medium, and now has a new glimmer of hope. This is the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together. It's "Arrested Development."

Cue the plucky music, kids, because Jason Bateman and Michael Cera gave MTV some big news this week: The best TV comedy of the last decade is still alive. Read more...
