The wolf pack is back, and the Italians already know it.
A brand new Italian posted for "The Hangover: Part II" has hit the web courtesy of MoviePlayer (via Latino Review). There are certain things we're a bit concerned about in the image, like those claw marks on Stu's chair and the glazed expression on Alan's face, but mostly we're just glad we only have to wait until May 26 to see what shenanigans the boys are up to this time.
After the jump, find out what surprising summer blockbuster will be playing at Cannes, more information about the movie Michael Mann and Paul Haggis are teaming for, and whether or not the monkeys speak in "Rise of the Apes."

There's awesome news and then there's awesome news. David Milch masterminded "Deadwood," the Wild West HBO series that remains one of television's greatest unfinished works. Michael Mann needs very little introduction. He directed last year's "Public Enemies," as well as "Heat," "The Last of the Mohicans" and "The Insider." And "Ali." And "Collateral." More too.
Those two guys are in the midst of bringing together a new HBO series called "Luck," which focuses on horseracing and gambling culture set against the backdrop of a racetrack. Knowing the two guys who are shepherding this thing along, I imagine it will straddle multiple genres while existing primarily within the drama/comedy realm. Dennis Farina and John Ortiz have already been cast, and today brings word of one more: Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman. Read more...

--Eli Roth, who recently starred alongside Brad Pitt in "Inglourious Basterds," is certainly keeping busy. Speaking in Mexico at the Morelia Film Festival, Roth revealed that he'll soon be showing "Cotton" to the Sundance team for a potential January 2010 festival premiere and that he's currently busy developing scripts for sci-fi project "Endangered Species" and "Grindhouse" tie-in "Thanksgiving." --We already reported on this last week, but it looks like Oren Peli's "Paranormal Activity" found footage follow-up, "Area 51," will land in front of cameras next week. (via press release; check out Variety for additional details) Read more...

FROM MTV.COM: The outlaw vs. the man of the law. The American folk hero vs. the American federal agent. Johnny Depp vs. Christian Bale. That's the battle taking shape as Michael Mann's "Public Enemies," the true story of tommy-gun-toting bank robber John Dillinger (Depp) and FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Bale), pop-pop-pops its way into theaters, starting on Wednesday (July 1).
Set in the Depression-devastated 1930s, Dillinger forms a gang with some creatively named rule-breakers — Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd — and sets about looting banks that have been foreclosing homes and repossessing goods throughout the Midwest. Along the way, naturally, Dillinger finds time for a little bit of outlaw romance, as he falls head-over-machine-gun for Billie Frechette (Marion Cotillard), a vulnerable lounge singer. FBI head honcho J. Edgar Hoover (Billy Crudup) tasks Purvis with the task of capturing Dillinger and putting the kibosh on this crime wave sweeping the crisis-stricken country.
