HighlanderSome time has passed since the last "Highlander" remake update. Over a year, in fact – last we'd heard, "Fast Five" director Justin Lin was attached to direct with Neal Moritz producing for Summit Entertainment. "Iron Man" screenwriters Art Marcum and Matt Holloway were working on the script.

But as the old "Highlander" adage goes, there can be only one… and as of right now, it's neither Marcum nor Holloway who will be writing the screenplay.

Instead of sticking with the "Iron Man" duo, the "Highlander" screenwriting gig is staying in the Summit family. Heat Vision reports that "Twilight" writer Melissa Rosenberg is in negotiations for the remake, with Moritz and Lin both still attached to the project and Peter Davis also on board as a producer.

The hardcover version of Stephenie Meyer’s fourth “Twilight” installment, “Breaking Dawn,” clocks in at a whopping 756 pages. So when the official announcement came earlier this week that the film adaptation would be split in two no one was really all that surprised.

We all know Hollywood will milk properties for all they're worth and anything involving “Twilight” is worth a lot. But what does this mean for the fans? After hearing the news some sighed in relief, most screamed with pleasure while others might have peed their pants a little.

What do they want to know most? Where the heart-stopping cliffhanger will occur in Part One. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg knows where she’d like it to happen. Read More...

Obviously, I mean screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. We all know that Stephenie Meyer wrote the books. And this is all assuming that Summit Entertainment actually goes ahead and greenlights "Breaking Dawn." Because, you know... they could just cap the series with "Eclipse," right?

Kidding of course. The news is that Rosenberg -- Melissa, not me -- has been talking "Breaking Dawn." And the things she's been saying have been very interesting. Like promising a PG-13 rating for the movie while not sacrificing any of the book's plot points. Idle talk or heartfelt promise? You decide. Check out the full story on MTV.com.

FROM MTV.COM: If Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg can spill anything about what fans can expect from "Eclipse," it's that they can expect it to be dark and gory. And for fans of director David Slade, not to mention people who've read "Eclipse," this should be completely unsurprising.

"David has a darker sensibility, so it clicks," Rosenberg told E! Online. "The story has a slightly darker tone. I mean, it goes into a full-out battle, so it is darker in the nature of what it is. David was the perfect director for it."

Melissa RosenbergTwilighters might want to think twice before popping in that DVD for the fiftieth time this weekend, and instead head to LA for some upcoming vampire scoop. Because none other than “Twilight” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg will be appearing at the LA Times Festival of Books this Saturday at UCLA - signing copies of her smash script.

Being involved in a dynamic film and television writing career has definitely been a rewarding experience for Melissa, judging from all the “Twilight” and “Dexter” success that has catapulted her into the rare position of being the centerpiece of two phenomenons. In fact, her work is so notable that Rosenberg has been nominated for one Emmy Award and two Writers Guild of America Awards. Read More...

twilight momsAre you too busy reading about vampires to pick up your socks off the bedroom floor? Have you been spending your nights posting on message boards under the alias “LoveSpunkOME,” rather than emptying the overflowing trash can in your kitchen? We know, Twilighters, we’ve been there too.

Which made us laugh all the harder when we heard about the TwilightMoms “Clean House” Contest. As you may recall, in the weeks before the release of “Breaking Dawn,” the one and only Stephenie Meyer requested that “Twilight”-related message boards be shut down temporarily so that fans couldn’t post spoilers. We’ve long admired the enthusiastic, fanatical love of the TMs, and are proud to help them out by announcing the contest results as part of this week’s Twilight Tuesday.

Here’s how the contest went down: Suddenly blessed with several weeks of “Twilight”-free chatter, the TMs decided it was time to clean house, quite literally. Participants snapped “Before” photos of their sloppy homes, then got to work washing their “Team Edward” sweatshirts, cleaning up after the kids, and dusting off all the neglected non-“Twilight” novels on their bookshelves. Once the TwilightMoms forums re-opened, they posted their “After” pictures.
