One of the best parts of being an entertainment journalist is getting a vote in the annual Golden Raspberry Awards, and this year's nominees once again offer a welcome opportunity to strike back at all the really, really bad movies we had to sit through in the past year.
The 28th annual nominations are led by free-falling film star Lindsay Lohan, whose "I Know Who Killed Me" landed her nominations as both Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple (since she played twins in the flick). Topping her, however, is Eddie Murphy in "Norbit," nominated for Worst Actor (as his character Norbit), Worst Supporting Actor (as Mr. Wong), Worst Supporting Actress (as Rasputia) and Worst Screen Couple. Behind every young starlet is a musical-in-the-making. That's what we learned a few weeks ago when we interviewed Katharine McPhee, who told us that she longed to be in a revised theatrical adaptation of "West Side Story." This time around, we spoke to bubbly Mandy Moore, who proclaimed her dream of leading a "Guys and Dolls" film. "I have to play Adelaide...that's a dream project for me," she says.
Watch her below (and check out our full Many Moore interview here), and then let us know in the comments how you think she'd do.
Our own Josh Horowitz recently sat down with pop princess and actress Mandy Moore to discuss her new film, "Dedication," but also managed to bring up "Southland Tales," writer/director Richard Kelly's long-delayed follow-up to "Donnie Darko." As you'll see in the fun exchange below, with the many changes the flick has taken, Moore didn't even know if she made current cut (we managed to answer that question for her).
