Many of us woke up this morning to the sight of an exciting new trailer, for Louis Leterrier's remake of "Clash of the Titans." Other than a footage-lite set visit, we really haven't seen anything from the actual movie until now. And it's looking pretty sweet, as you saw in the trailer this morning. This latest edition of Freeze Frame doesn't make it look any sweeter, but it does get a whole lot funnier. Enjoy.
While there isn't any actual footage from the upcoming remake of "Clash of the Titans" out there, I've got the next best thing for you. On last week's episode of "Behind the Screen," we paid a visit to the set of the Sam Worthington-starring film, which is currently shooting in Wales.
In the video below you can check out interviews with Worthingon, Mads Mikkelson, Nicholas Hoult and Liam Cunningham as well as raw footage from the shoot. So not quite the polished clip you might want to see, but good stuff nonetheless.

Louis Leterrier’s got more than the next Hulk or “1602” on his mind – he’s also just started prepping a remake of “Clash of the Titans,” according to his character designer Aaron Sims.
“We worked together on the ‘Hulk’ to make something visually interesting,” Sims said, “and I had started designs with a previous director for ‘Clash of the Titans,’ but he went away, and now Louis is on board to direct. So he called me up, ‘Hey, let’s work together,’ and I said, ‘Definitely!’”
Sims is starting to conceptualize the Medusa and the Kraken monster designs, and it’s more challenging than you might think. (And it’s one that “Hercules” is avoiding).
“There’s a whole mythology to all of this,” he said. “So what do you create that’s not just something we’ve all seen before? Everything, from Pegasus to the Titans, what have we not seen yet that’s going to be really epic-looking and still speaks to Greek mythology?” Read more...

If you're one of the millions of fans who saw "The Incredible Hulk" this past weekend, you know all about the ingenious seeding accomplished by director Louis Leterrier and writer Zak Penn, who set-up not one, not two, but three future "Hulk" villains: Doc Samson, The Leader, and (spoiler alert) The Abomination, who the Hulk doesn't kill at the end of the first film.
Last week we told you who the cast and crew themselves would choose for a possible "Hulk 2."
What we didn't tell you was that it was actually up to you. Read more...

It's not easy being green, but for millions of comic book fans worldwide your time being green with envy over not seeing "The Incredible Hulk" is finally over.
Ed Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, and director Louis Leterrier finally get to SMASH into theaters this weekend with Marvel's second summer blockbuster in as many months. But is it everything you ever wanted and more? Did this version of the Hulk leave you satisfied, or did it make you angry? (And Thor knows not to make comic book fans angry. You wouldn't like them when…eh, you know the rest.)
We want to know exactly what you thought about "The Incredible Hulk:" What you liked, what you didn't, what your favorite scenes were, where you think they went wrong, why Sony was unimaginably dumb to not allow Spider-Man to appear in the film. Read more...
They join forces to fight enemies no single hero can battle alone. So what possible villain could be big enough, strong enough, or crazy enough to go against the combined powers of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, and the rest of The Avengers? How about no villain at all, "Incredible Hulk" director Louis Leterrier wondered, but a hero?
[Spoiler Warning for those who don’t wish to know anything about "The Incredible Hulk"]
"I would love to see [the Hulk become the villain that fights the Avengers] because I think the best villains are always the ones whose agenda you understand," he enthused. Read more...
This weekend, when “The Incredible Hulk” finally SMASHES his way into theaters, Marvel will sit with its fingers crossed, hoping he demolishes not just expectations (and half of Harlem), but lingering memories of the character’s previous big-screen incarnation as well. And why not? As cast and crew members, including Tim Blake Nelson, Stan Lee and director Louis Leterrier told us, this could be the start of something big (read their thoughts on what they want to see in the sequel).
But while Leterrier is positively thrilled at the prospect of a “Hulk 2” and “The Avengers,” of which Hulk will be a part, he can’t help but wonder: Will the superhero genre start to drown itself in its own excess? Or, to put it more simply, when will enough be enough?
“I actually got a little scared while I was making the movie. I saw the slate of the movies that were coming out this summer: ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Hulk,’ and then you have ‘Batman’ and ‘Hancock,’ and later you'll have ‘Watchmen.’ It's getting a little oversaturated in superhero films, and at one point they're probably going to get boring,” he contended. “Especially if it's the same type of story — either the defender of the earth, Superman kind of superhero or self-doubting Spider-Man, Hulk kind of superhero. If you missed the news when MTV broke it this January, by now you know that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will appear in “The Incredible Hulk,” thanks to ubiquitous new television spots which prominently feature old metal head. And you know, too, about a brief easter egg with Captain America, where Bruce runs across a frozen body in the Artic.
Marvel’s cross promotion is easily one of the coolest aspects of their new films, giving filmmakers a sandbox full of toys in which to play. “Hulk” director Louis Leterrier almost got to play with the coolest. Read more...
