Our guest blogger Laura Culpepper was selected to help us cover the Movie Awards and all its preshow events (and giving her some surprises as well). She was a great addition to the team, and with the 2008 show concluded, we asked her to reflect on her last day and what the experience meant.
Well, it's all over now. This afternoon I will be flying back to Alabama to resume my very uneventful life until the fall. It will be a bit strange not seeing celebrities everyday or hanging out with everybody here at MTV News, but all good things must come to an end.

I started the day yesterday pretty early to once again stand-in on some rehearsals for the preshow. After that it was a bit of a "hurry up and wait" situation, but once the stars started walking it went by extremely fast. Read more...
When we arranged for "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson to drop by our LA office to surprise our Movie Awards guest blogger (and "Twilight" superfan) Laura Culpepper, our eagle-eyed reporter noticed something just a tad familiar about his street clothes. Find out what we mean in the video below.
The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with MTV News' "Coming Attractions" preshow kicking the evening off at 7:30 p.m. ET featuring an exclusive scene from "Twilight" along with interviews with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Cam Gigandet! Meanwhile, stay tuned to the MTV Movies Blog and MovieAwards.MTV.com.
Our guest blogger Laura Culpepper will be covering the highlights from now through the big show on Sunday, so check in daily as she live-blogs her Movie Awards experience!
So, MTV knows I'm a huge Twilight fan. I was unsure if I would do anything related to "Twilight" while I was here since Robert, Kristen, and Cam were only going to be at the awards and I wasn't sure what I'd be doing then, so I didn't arrive with any expectations.
I woke up this morning and was taken to one of the two MTV offices here in L.A. to shoot my video introduction to readers on the blog. I was pretty nervous because I am a horrible speaker and not used to looking into a camera or anything. I was filming the fifth or sixth take of my introduction, when Robert Pattinson tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I wanted to be one of the first people to see the first scene from "Twilight" (you can watch it too during the Movie Awards preshow this Sunday, June 1 at 7:30pm ET!). The rest is history.
